UPSTAIRS / The tastefully-decorated newly-renovated, Tybee Time apartment has a complete kitchen with stainless appliances combined with the attractive living area that features a full sized sleeper sofa for a plus one. This bed is not suitable for anyone over 6'. Two barrel-shaped, comfortable red sitting chairs are made for relaxing, reading or watching television, which has DVD capabilities. The bedroom accommodates a queen size Sleep Number bed with adjustable firmness mattress. A spacious closet with shelves, suitcase stand and coat racks provide plenty of space for clothing and personal items. The screened porch has two comfortable red rocking chairs that are just right for a relaxing finish to your day in the sun. An energy efficient, ultra quiet Mitsubishi heat pump AC/heat unit offers plenty of heat during cold months and plenty of cold air conditioning in the summer. Ceiling fans inside and on the porch gently move the air as well. This apartment is just right for a couple or a couple with a small child or two adults and a close friend who doesn't mind sleeping on the sleeper sofa. The previous owners had divided the site into 4 separate spaces complete with separate entries. Our initial thought was to convert the property back to 1 whole space sans the divisions. We however soon found that to do so would involve essentially tearing the structure down and starting over as these renovations would require that we bring the building up to current code. This home is pre- 1970's and because of the nostalgia and charm of the place, we decided to leave it as is for now. Having said this, there are quirks to the property including slower drains, and some nostalgic flooring dating. to the 1970's. It is an old-time beach solution to coming home sandy; direct access to one of the bathroom showers from the outside. There is also an outdoor shower in the back. But make no mistake, this is a stand alone, single family house that will be completely private for you should you choose our place. ***If you are joining us during a cooler month, the pool heater brings the temperature up but it does not make the water hot. Please understand that water can be made about 20 degrees over the average ambient temperature, and that it can only get to about 85 degrees at its warmest. This is a lot better than 40 degrees, believe me, but the water is not hot. There is the hot tub for that!On the Subject of Golf Carts: We have no problem with you renting one if you are able, but as the house is on the beach side of Butler/Highway 80, you can't always rent a golf cart from the local renters. This is because there are specific rules about where you can cross on Butler given traffic and season.
