We had a delightful weekend at Woldert-Spence Manor and their breakfasts are truly a gourmet delight! The property is so much fun and the location was wonderful for visiting all of the Tyler sites.

Looking for a new place to celebrate our anniversary (45th) I took a chance on Woldert Spence in Tyler. A great stay in a lovely town. Room was big and comfortable, breakfast was great, Barb and Mike were wonderful hosts. Everything was perfect.

Charming!! Home and Hosts
We had a wonderful stay at Woldert-Spence Manor. We were treated to a personal tour of the house while there. Every room is tastefully and beautifully furnished. Everything we could have expected was available. We very much enjoyed our time visiting with Barbara and Mike. Your knowledge of the home and town was very informative. Thank you for sharing the charm of days gone by.

We were visiting family from Mineola during our trip. This is a big beautiful old home. Our room was comfy and cozy and stocked with some snacks and drinks. The InnKeepers, Barbara and Mike, were welcoming and friendly and truly made our stay a pleasure. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of thought put into it. Fancy trappings everywhere. A coffee and tea station with hot and cold water was nice to enjoy during the day. Amazing history as well. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Kindest Regards, Tim and Mimi Kennedy

We loved the innkeepers, Mike and Barb. They really made us feel at home. Breakfast was wonderful. We had an early morning flight and had to leave by 7;30am. But they were up for us and had packed food for the plane, Loved our conversations --learned alot!

The house is very quaint. It’s a Victorian inspired house. The room we stayed in called The Elizabeth room was just like the picture. We met the Innkeepers the next morning and were offered a delicious breakfast. It was a very quiet and relaxing quick getaway.

Mike and Barbara were great hosts from start to finish, the Woldert-Spence Manor is an amazing place with a very interesting history. Breakfast was made fresh each morning by Barbara and we had a great time chatting about our mutual shared travels and a lot more. Room was large and spacious and the bed very comfortable. There were plenty of complimentary tea and coffee available in the dining room all day long with some nice food treats as well. The gated parking area worked well and the digital lock access to the house and room also worked very well. Location was ideal for all that Tyler has to offer along with the surrounding area, and only a five minute drive to the excellent rose gardens, plus plenty of nice food outlets a short drive away. The Woldert-Spence Manor is a rare 5 star experience not to be missed if you are in the area. 10 out of 10 for this place and have already recommended it to our Texas friends.

The owners are lovely people. They took good care of my needs, and filled me in on some of the unique things about this historic home. It was filled with beautiful furnishings. Excellent hospitality.
