"I stayed at Nakamatsuya in Bessho Onsen for the first time in a year.As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the familiar proprietress and staff, saying, ``Welcome home.''I went to my room on the 6th floor.I took a bath before dinner and relaxed. We headed to the restaurant on the second floor for a fun dinner.Tonight we had a matsutake kaiseki meal that can only be enjoyed at this time of year.The grilled matsutake mushrooms were grilled on the spot by the staff.The freshly grilled matsutake mushrooms had a crunchy texture and a perfect aroma. We enjoyed a once-a-year luxurious meal with matsutake mushrooms such as pears, steamed matsutake mushrooms in clay pots, tempura, and matsutake rice.This breakfast is made with new rice harvested by the staff who are also rice farmers, and we also tried hoba miso for the first time. It was exquisite. After breakfast, we paid a visit to the nearby Kitamukai Kannon, and then we were seen off by the staff before heading out. As always, the customer service of the hostess and the waitress was heartwarming and wonderful."

"We stayed here as a family of four. Our youngest child was only one year old, but there was body soap for children in the bath, which was nice. Personally, I was very excited about the shampoo bar. They also prepared things like yo-yo fishing and puzzle solving for the children's festival, which my older child seemed to enjoy. Although it was outside of opening hours, they also made shaved ice for us. We were very satisfied with the flexible and polite service. It is a historic inn, and it did feel old in places, but it was well-cleaned and we had a comfortable stay. Thank you very much."
