This venue is absolutely stunning — the views, the setting, and the facilities are truly exceptional. We booked the entire property, which accommodated 30 people comfortably, with a few additional fold-out beds. While the property itself exceeded expectations, unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the staff’s handling of logistics. Though they were polite and friendly, there were several issues that caused unnecessary stress. The final bill contained multiple errors, including charges amounting to thousands of euros added by mistake. In addition, there was no clear or accurate record of which guests had paid, leaving one individual to shoulder the full amount initially and sort out the discrepancies afterwards. This lack of organisation felt unprofessional and fell short of the standards expected from such a high-end venue. That said, there were some standout services — the caretaker was extremely helpful, even delivering luggage to each village, and the dinner was fantastic. However, the breakfast was overpriced for what was offered. Overall, I would still recommend this property for its beauty and unique experience, but would strongly advise anyone booking to be very careful with the financial and logistical arrangements. With better administrative oversight, this venue could truly offer an exceptional and seamless experience.

Such a peaceful and beautiful experience! Sonia and Peppe took great care of us during our stay. I can’t wait to return here in the future for a longer time! The cottage La Limonia is beautiful and spacious and great price for all that you receive.

Our group of 22 friends and family members spent a glorious week here to attend a local wedding. The property is spectacular and staff are wonderful. Any tiny glitches were instantly remedied. The views are spectacular, and the combination of separate and communal spaces ideal for a large group. There are many interesting places to visit locally. Sonya manages the property very well indeed.

We are a family of 24 people from 3 countries with ages ranging from 3 months old to 60, who had had a couple terrible tragic years. We needed a space to come together to mourn and honor those lost but also to be a family again, to laugh and eat and find joy in new generations. We needed to relax and hold each other tight. We needed to share memories and tell stories. We needed to be together but also have plenty of space to be by ourselves. We needed to eat and drink wine and gaze at the Umbrian sky and vineyards. We needed to swim in the Italian sun, play tennis and ping pong, to watch the sun set and lightning storms rumble through the valley. We needed to sleep cozy at night while the teens and young adults laughed and star gazed and bonded as cousins (just like we did growing up). We needed a place like Borgo di Bastia Creti and we needed Sonia, the manager who greeted us with warmth, shed a tear when she heard our families story, who planned beautiful days for us and when we changed our minds and then changed them again always just smiled and said “no problem”. Borgo di Bastia Creti doesn’t feel like a hotel. It feels like home.

My son got married at Borgo Bastia Creti and I cannot imagine a more perfect setting. Not only was it beautiful, the service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Sonia and her staff were very helpful to ensure everything was perfect! Each villa was beautifully decorated. Reserving the entire property was perfect for our wedding but we would love to return and rent a villa or two. We can’t thank you enough!

My husband and I spent a glorious month at La Limonaia (March-April 2023). In a time when customer service around the world is sadly lacking, the Borgo restored our faith in hospitality excellence. Sonia went above and beyond to make our stay special in every way possible, arranging on-site massages and yoga, restaurant reservations, and spending hours helping us make arrangements for day trips and transportation. She was literally on-call, answering questions after hours and responding almost instantaneously to requests. In fact, all the Borgo staff, were courteous, helpful, efficient, and responsive. The Borgo's setting and surroundings are beyond compare: beautiful, peaceful, rejuvenating. We left a piece of our hearts in Umbria, the heart of Italy, and hope to return again and again.
