"This is an old country hotel. The nameplate says it opened in the 17th century. The facilities inside are well maintained. The exterior is relatively simple, and you need to carry your own luggage up the stairs, and the winding road is not easy to walk."

"Great stop over location close to Stonehenge on way back from Cornwall. Quick friendly check in and a lovely breakfast. Nice bed and a great sleep, the next door disco was a little loud but nothing compared to the neighbours at home. Didn't stop a weary traveller sleeping, and all quiet in the morning. Room well equipped with bed side plugs including usb chargers, iron, kettle etc, towels, shampoo/body wash, and a few more. Garden was lovely and well cared for. Interesting building with a lot of old features and changes over the years, which needs a lot of upkeep, and some areas need a little more time and money spent on them. Didn't spoil it for me and would stay again. I know the issues that come with old buildings with character."
