Chalet Hotel du Fornet

Amazing small hotel for couples A beautiful small hotel in the heart of Le Fornet run by a lovely couple Stephan & Marie who looked after us brilliantly. A tasty continental breakfast provided every morning and the option of dinner a few nights of the week. A lovely spa with hot tub, sauna & steam room to recover after a hard days skiing. We will certainly be back!

Take care when reserving this hotel. We experienced very sharp practice most unlike our experience with other hotels in this resort. During summer 2024 we reserved three rooms for a planned week holiday in December 2024 with our family. Unfortunately due to health issues with one of my daughters we cannot travel so we had to cancel the trip giving the hotel more than four months notice. Despite the lengthy notice and despite the fact that all of the rooms were subsequently rebooked the hotel retained the full deposit of Euro 2,000.00. We asked that the deposit be put towards one room at a later date but the only compromise was the deposit would be put towards three rooms at a later date. When we explained our family live in USA and would not be joining us they retained the full deposit. However this hotel saw their opportunity to get paid double! Clearly they mitigated their losses and rebooked all of the rooms. We expected to pay something towards the administrative burden but the owners / operators of this hotel are not a good advert for Val D'Isere or for French tourism.

Very pleasant boutique hotel with beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished rooms and a delicious breakfast buffet. The family that runs the hotel - led by Marie and Stéphane - is extremely friendly and takes a genuine interest in the well-being of each guest. They also provide tailor-made tips for successful daytime activities in the splendid surroundings of Le Fornet/Val d'Isère. It's this personal touch that makes you really feel at home. Highly recommended.

Très jolie découverte ! Un petit hôtel plein de charme, une jolie chambre cosy, propre et avec une literie confortable. Petit déjeuner simple mais très bien. Les patrons sont très sympas et accueillants. Un trois étoiles qui rempli largement les critères !

We have stayed in several hotels in the Val D'Isere area, but Chalet Hotel du Fornet was the best experience by far. Firstly and most importantly, Marie and Stephane were absolutely incredible to us in every way - from booking the room, to being flexible with quite a few changes, helping us solve everything that came up and most importantly, making us feel so comfortable every day. Secondly - the location is ideal. Fornet is about 5 minute bus away from the centre of Val D"isere (buses are free and come every 5 minutes nonstop all day/night), which is perfect if you are looking for some peace and quiet while still being able to easily access the hussle and bussle. Fornet has its own lift up to a beautiful side of the mountain, which you can then access the rest of the slopes. Thirdly - the hotel itself is a dream. A historical renovated chalet gives you the chalet experience, while the rooms give you the luxury hotel experience. The breakfast is perfect, and we were surprised to find a fully kitted out spa with huge hamman/sauna + Jacuzzi. We had a special 10 days in Chalet Hotel du Fornet, and will definitely be coming back very soon. Thank you again Marie and Stephane!! Martin & Paty.

Un véritable havre de paix, au coeur du hameaux du Fornet au bout du bout de Val d’Isère. Un petit hôtel de charme de 12 chambres avec des hôtes adorables et une fréquentation de personnes simples et abordables ! Un petit hotel du cru si charmant à proximité de la benne du Fornet pour évite la foule du centre de de Val d’Isère ! Rarement vécue une telle expérience d’authenticité et de plénitude.
