La Villa Garenne

Acabamos de estar y les felicito por la Gran labor que hacen de este hotel que sea magnífico !! Lleno de detalles , muy limpio , cuidan todo y de los huéspedes . Es precioso , cada rincón , cada habitación Sin dudarlo repetiría ! Aunque vaya de visita a otros lugares cerca de Vannes , vendría aquí , desde que llegamos , el recibimiento , la gran ayuda con las maletas , atención, indicaciones . El desayuno de gran calidad todo casero , se nota que ha sido y es preparado con especial amor El jardín , la sala de estar Todo es una preciosidad Desde que reservamos en su página web , nos han ayudado . También nos ayudaron con la reserva de un restaurante y cada día nos preguntaban qué tal y si necesitas algo ahí están Está muy bien situado , cruzas y está la muralla con una entrada a zona histórica Se llega en coche hasta la puerta del hotel , puedes bajar las maletas tranquilamente y hay un parking g público gratuito al aire libre al lado y otro privado Subterráneo cerca . La situación y todo es lo que le dan la excelencia !! Gracias!!! Ha sido un placer conoceros !!

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cet établissement professionnel mais qui garde l'âme des chambres d'hôtes : beaucoup de charme, des propriétaires gentils et discrets, une chambre pas très grande mais très joliment décorée avec tout le confort . Maison très agréable avec des parties communes très agréables et pleins de messages poétiques. Tout ce que l'on aime !!! Petit déjeuner complet. Seul petit bémol : l'escalier ( il ne faut pas avoir de grosses valises) mais c'est une maison ancienne qui a son charme et qui située près du port et du Vannes historique.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Villa Garenne in May. While we were initially concerned by the location of the entrance (on a small side street), our concerns were immediately put to rest when we met our innkeepers. Helen (pronounced Ellen) and Robert were very welcoming and were the ultimate in gracious hosts. Both of them spent considerable time and effort to help us sort out a rental car issue. Not sure what we would have done without them. But beyond that, they took time to review our maps and plans and offer helpful advice. Robert carried our luggage up the stairs (a considerable task considering we were on extended holiday) and Ellen laid out a delightful French breakfast each morning, all sourced locally. I particularly enjoyed the selection of fresh breads and jams. The location is directly across from the main gate of the old walled city of Vannes. We were able to easily explore, shop and dine, all within an easy walk. Now for a few practical items to consider. There is no on-site parking, but we were able to park in a very close public lot, so this was no issue at all. If you are planning to arrive by car during high season, parking may be a bit of a challenge. The home was build mid 19th century (~1850), guest rooms are on the 3rd floor with a central staircase. If you have an issue with stairs, you may want to look elsewhere. In summary, wonderful hospitality and great location.
