Piekenierskloof Mountain Resort by Dream Resorts

I would like to thank Estelle and team for a legendary experience at Piekenierskloof Resort. I went with my two adult kids and it was amazing. So much to do. We did Archery, RC racing cars, Mini Golf, enjoyed playing pool, made use of the indoor heated pool and what a lovely restaurant where you could enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a nice bar area with outside seating available to enjoy the picturesque view. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was ever to much for them. I would definitely recommend this property to everyone that I know. Lots of activities for young and old a like. Welldone team Pikkies.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is set in a fabulous location with magnificent views. There's a lovely outdoor pool with plenty of loungers all around. The restaurant serves a lovely breakfast buffet style and we had a fantastic evening meal in there one night. Whilst there are chalets here, we choose a hotel room and the one we had was spacious and well appointed. A separate w.c and then a shower room were nicely finished too and we had a good balcony from which we could appreciate the stunning views. We opted to have a 1 hour full massage in the hotel spa and that was fabulous too and good value. Our only complaint would be the very early check out time of 10 am. Breakfast didn't finish until 10.30 and our massage appointment was at 11, so we enquired about having later check out and were firmly told no. The hotel was clearly not busy and it seems SA hotels are very inflexible compared to hotels in other parts of the world in this regard. Aside from this we had a lovely stay and would both recommend and return on another trip. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful, perhaps with the exception of the reception staff who really could do with being a little more customer focused.

Stayed for 3 nights and had the family room which was perfect as it had two connecting rooms. All the staff were very lovely and the surrounding views are spectacular. Rooms were very clean and the choice of swimming pools and playground kept the children busy. The food is fantastic and portions were very generous with a good choice for all the family. Had a little pop into Citrusdal and then across to the tea/wine shop which has another great playground and food and drink to keep the parents happy. Really easy drive within a couple hours of Cape Town and a great start to our holiday.

Amazing 3 night stay. Food and staff was amazing! Lucinda is an absolute gem! Glen was very helpful as management and assisted well. Grounds and gardens kept impeccable. All staff fest and helpful. Excellent breakfast with quality and variety. Well done Piekenierskloof Would recommend booking with resort directly as Thompsons Travel was a disappointment. Never gave information on room options or views.

Country retreat Stunning country retreat with great views. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Food is good. Lovely breakfast. Spa is great to get rid of your stress. Will defintely come back here again.

Very disappointing. Paid over R8000 for 2 nights. No one came to help with luggage upon arrival and departure. Reception staff extremely unfriendly and the manager...older afrikaner man should work in an office. He's clearly not a people's person. We ordered 2 small pizzas for 2 young kids and it took almost 45minutes. When I questioned the staff about it, an extremely unpleasant and rude manager came around and said "waif, it's busy." Absolutely disgusting.
