"I ended up booking accommodation here instead of in Sorrento, but I loved that it was a quiet neighborhood. Above all, the location was excellent; it was close to the train station, making it convenient to get around, and it was a hassle to travel to Sorrento or Pompeii. I was particularly satisfied with the breakfast; it was nice to start the day leisurely, and the staff were friendly, so I had a pleasant stay throughout. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to comfortably enjoy the Southern Italian vibe!"

"A major faux pas! Don't stay here! Don't believe any positive reviews or posts on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform). This hotel is utterly useless except for its cheap price. First, the location is terrible. The hotel is in the small town of Vico, which has few tourists. It looks close to Sorrento and Positano as a straight line, but it takes 30 minutes and 60 minutes by car respectively. Then, it's supposedly a 6-minute drive to the beach, but it's a 53-minute walk. There's no parking if you drive there, and no taxis in town. More importantly, the hotel is in the north of the Italian peninsula, but the best sea views are in the south. Even if you're looking for a cheap hotel, choose a small town in the south (between Sorrento and Salerno). Second, the rooms are awful. I booked a sea-view balcony room, and upon entering, there was a strong smell of disinfectant (I checked in at 5 pm, so there's no way it had just been cleaned). The balcony was also very small and severely obstructed, offering only a tiny view of the sea. The advertising is completely misleading. The most outrageous thing is the so-called roof. The bar was right above me, and the DJ was spinning records overhead; the noise level was measured at 50-70 dB. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I went to the hotel to complain and request a cancellation (why not a room change? Because the room I was given also had strong disinfectant smells and a DJ dancing overhead). The hotel manager agreed to give me a refund and said he would communicate with the agent about it. However, four days later, the agent told Ctrip that the hotel refused to refund me. I don't know if the hotel or the agent was at fault. However, Ctrip customer service was very attentive in following up and ultimately resolved the issue well. Thank you again! I immediately booked a hotel in Positano after cancelling, and it was a much more pleasant experience."

"We didn't have a very good experience at this hotel. Honestly, one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. I found the staff rude. When we got to our room. It was very basic. No tea and coffee facilities, even though it's a 4 star hotel. The noise from the road is so loud you really can't sleep. It's busy 24/7. Our shutters broke when we arrived. We were accused of braking it. All we did was press a button to open and the whole thing came down. When we asked to be moved, we asked to be moved. We were offered a garden view, even though we paid for a sea view. The manager said, it's only money!!! Really!! I complained to Jet2. Who, after a few phone calls advised they would move us next door the next day and we would get a bottle of wine. (We are still waiting for the wine! Lol). You can hear everyone's conversation from the rooms above and next to you as the walls are really thin. The food is terrible. Very poor choice at the mornings buffet. If you arrive late, they don't really replenish the food. The evening meal was horrendous. We were half board and only ate here once. We are out every other night. Honestly, I wish we did our research as we would not have stayed here. The only good thing was the beautiful view from the balcony. Good points * Beautiful View *Pool *Only 5 minute walk to the train station Bad Points * Room-very basic and old fashion * Terrible Food * Rude staff (especially the manager) * Very noisy road (which you are right next to) * Very far from Sorrento Would I stay here again! Nope! Do your research and stay somewhere else!"

"Strategically located in the center of Vico Equense, this property is simply fantastic. Spotless room and bathroom, secure parking on the side, discount at the restaurant (L'Università della Pizza) and breakfast included in a pastry shop in the small square. Paola and her husband are simply lovely and did everything to make us feel at home. We only stayed one night and unfortunately we couldn't use the jacuzzi on the terrace due to bad weather. But we will definitely be back!"

"Wonderful hotel! Near the train station, the rooms are all on one floor. There's no elevator, but there's only one small staircase. The staff was happy to help with luggage if needed. The sea view from the window is stunning, and the room is spacious and has everything you need. Two closets, a kettle, a hairdryer, a sofa bed, blankets, and a comfortable double bed. There was only one pillow per person, but they provided an extra one upon request. The hotel staff was friendly, both at reception and at breakfast. The restaurant is beautiful and modern, the breakfast is good, and there's a wide selection of fruit (even kiwi and pineapple). I would definitely stay again. There's a very beautiful terrace with 24-hour access overlooking the sea and the city."

"Oriente Hotel (Victoria Equensie) Stayed here for 10 nights. Excellent location with train station a short walk away. Thee hotel has a terrace dining area with views over the bay & mount Vesuvius a changing daily menu with the choice of starter, main & dessert. The food was varied & well presented by Vincenzo & his team. The reception staff & service team were very helpful with everything from travel advice to helping with luggage to our accommodation. Any problems were addressed immediately to our satisfaction. A private part of the beach area is provided for guests with a short transfer & return by the hotels transport. The hotel guest rooms have a private balcony or shared terrace with plenty of loungers, table & chairs most having a nice sea view. Our room had a comfortable bed with great air conditioning & good shower. The room had a TV with limited English channels. Also a small fridge very handy for drinks we acquired from a nearby market shop. I would recommend guest to bring their own small kettle as one isn't provided! Vico Equensie is a nice small town with a good variety of shops, restaurants & ice cream parlour. The train station was fantastic to get to Sorrento or Pompeii & Naples in opposite directions which facilitated us to travel around easily. The train ticket can be purchased in the station or just tap in tap out with cc. Would have no problem recommending this hotel with great food, staff & location."

"While there are a few good things about the hotel, the fact that it’s near impossible to get a good night’s sleep here really ruined the holiday for me and my family, as we spent the whole time exhausted. You can hear absolutely every movement in the rooms above, below and next to you, if they watch the TV at midnight or 6am, so do you! Lots of guests need to get up early for flights or excursions, so from 6am each day, all you can hear in your room is furniture being dragged over the floor above you, the TV on next door, people slamming doors (all the wardrobe doors slam noisily as they are old and clumsy, plus the bathroom doors are stiff old sliding doors that screech). We had earplugs but they did nothing as it’s so close and so loud. Go to bed early you say! Yep, we tried that, but the hotel rents out its outside area to events that blast loud music towards the hotel rooms from massive speakers until about 1am. Just absolutely bizarre. When you mention any of this to reception, you are scowled at, laughed at, at one point the man on reception told me ‘it’s not us that’s the problem, it’s the other guests!’ and I was dismissed. The pool area is lovely and not too packed. Rooms are small, dated and noisy but the view is amazing from the weird balcony. Proximity to the train station is great if you want to travel around, which we enjoyed doing."
