Hotel Schild

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einer Unterkunft in Wien. Meine Lebensgefährtin stammt aus Wien und meinte 4 Sterne im 19. Bezirk, da sollte eigentlich nichts schieflaufen und hat gebucht. Aber weit gefehlt! Die Zimmer sind enorm dreckig, die Bettwäsche wird anscheinend zwischen den Gästen nicht gewechselt! Es sind Haare in allen Betten und ich spreche nicht von einem! Meine Lebensgefährtin wollte sogar im Auto schlafen! Der Rezeptionist ist sehr freundlich, kann leider nur bedingt helfen! Als wir nach einem anderen Zimmer fragen wollten war vor uns an der Rezeption ein Paar welches sich über Uringestank, dreckiges Badezimmer und klebrige Fußböden beschwert hatte. Es scheint somit kein Einzelfall zu sein! Schade, die Lage wäre Top, lediglich die Anfrage nach einem Parkplatz blieb unbeantwortet und es war dann auch keiner frei. Man hat uns dann für das dreckige Zimmer ein gratis Frühstück angeboten was wir allerdings dankend abgelehnt haben da das Vertrauen in die Hygiene in diesem Haus zu diesem Zeitpunkt schon nicht mehr vorhanden war... Als wir am Morgen leider unseren kalten Kaffee verleert hatten und das Bettlaken schmutzig war hat das Zimmermädchen einfach das Bett asymetrisch daneben gemacht und den Fleck gelassen. So kann man es natürlich auch machen. Die 10€ Trinkgeld hat sie aber angenommen... So geht Gastfreundschaft und Servicegedanke nicht...

Katastrophe! Zum abgewöhnen! Zimmer vom Vorgänger völlig verdreckt, Haare in allen Betten, Sch… an der WC Spülung, aber keine Kakerlaken, ich denke die ekeln sich vor diesem Haus! Die Reaktion der Putzfrau am nächsten Tag: da waren ein paar Teenager vor ihnen! Auch am nächsten Tag war außer dem Boden nichts gewischt! Brösel in der Küche nach wie vor auf Stühlen und Boden. Die Geisterbahnen im Prater sind weniger gruselig als dieses Apartment! Lage super, Nazan an der Rezeption kämpft gegen einsam! Danke an diesem engagierten Mitarbeiter! Er hat uns frische Handtücher und Bettwäsche gebracht…

Summary of what is written below: I have traveled a lot and the Hotel Schild was the worst experience I have had so far. The Hotel deserves a 2-star rating, being completely optimistic. I went with my family on a 2-night trip to Vienna and the Hotel made up most of the vacation. To begin with, on the first day, when we arrived, the room was not cleaned (it was completely filthy). There was a whole slice of cake spread behind the bed, lots of hair in the bathroom drain, the toilet wasn't clean, the sheets smelled like a combination of sweat and vomit and the beds were poorly made and out of place (completely unacceptable for a hotel 4 stars). We then spoke to the receptionist about the matter and she said she was going to change our room, later during the day she said she had never said that and that they were just going to clean it. After a tiring end of the day, we arrived at the room and "cleaning" had been done. I thought this until I smelled the bed sheets, which smelled intensely of vomit. We didn't have anyone to report this as the hotel reception opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm. Once again we were forced to sleep in a filthy and poorly sanitized room. Not to mention that the breakfast is not the best, with only a few options to choose from and the drinks machine was broken. After the price paid for our stay in a 4-star hotel in a city like Vienna, we were extremely disappointed and disgusted with the state of a supposed 4-star hotel. With everything that has been observed, I do not recommend staying at this Hotel at all.

Except the price and friendly staff you experience hell. It says 4 stars but it’s just impossible… your journey starts with a smell of sewer on front of elevator, then you arrive in the rooms which are spacious but really smell like cheddar or old moulding cheese/ humidity. You then decide to take a shower and realise the shower curtain is too small so water gets everywhere in the bathroom floor, the towels they provide are so small that they cover 1/2 of your body. You then decide to go to bed and the bedsheets really smell like feet. Pillow and duvet are stinky. The bed is extremely uncomfortable that you end up with a sore back in the morning, there is no heating or aircon, everything is faulty, and the rooms are extremely hot which force you to sleep with windows open and no curtains with your room facing the main road full of cars passing all night waking you up. Conclusion you don’t sleep the whole night as everything smells, noisy and too hot in the room. The cherry on the cake, they come for the room service at 9 am and obviously if you refuse, well they never come back and leave your room undone…. I have been to many hotel all around the world but this one is in the top of the worst ones ever…. Difficult to do worse, think better to sleep in your car at this point…

Fabulous staff, so helpful with charging my phone and directions to my next destination. So blessed to have found this charming hotel in a wonderful area.
