A very frustrating visit to Adobe Village Inn We originally reserved the Sunset Villa but just prior to our arrival were notified of a maintenance issue. The solution offered was for us to stay the first night in a Suite and the next 3 nights in the Wilderness Villa. We were not happy with this, but it was too late to make other arrangements. Wilderness was the least desirable of the villas. We requested and were granted a 20% refund which we appreciated. Note: There is no on-site service. All communications are by text. Whoever handled it was as helpful and courteous as they could be. But there were more issues than solutions. Overall, the condition of the property is not consistent with the way it is beautifully displayed on the website. THE GROUNDS - Landscape unkempt, unfinished construction in multiple areas, old dirty hose by the entry door, unrepaired damage to the stairs. THE SUITE - Damaged interior door lock with missing cover created a safety concern. - Hallway dark making it difficult to see keypad. - Closet storage that looked like a restaurant back room. - Mismatched toilet seat. - Filthy ladder storage container on deck. - Common kitchen area on main level looks like a storage facility. Multiple lights out - Windows dirty - Felt deserted THE MOUNTAIN VIEW VILLA The room is beautiful, but the maintenance was not. - A tiny TV that could not be watched from bed. - A channel guide that was totally confusing. No reference to network TV channels that could be interpreted. - The TV cable had been disconnected for some reason. Wasted a lot of time trying to diagnose the problem. - No instructions on use of the TV. - No Kleenex provided. - Barely a tablespoon of coffee grounds left - we had to buy our own. - Ragged and torn patio door screen. - Poor condition of lounge chairs. Not cleaned for use. - All the patio furniture looked old and worn. - Torn and inoperable window shade in bathroom. - Poorly designed waterfall shower. We loved it, but you had to practically get your nose on the wall for it to hit your head. Individually, none of these issues would have been significant, but collectively they substantially impacted the quality of our stay and the value we paid for and did not get.

Very disappointed. Stayed in the Lonesome Dove Villa. A large unit, very spacious. Unit is outdated, worn and in serious need of a remodel. Bedding looked old and discolored. Probably needed to be washed. Sofa was falling apart, gross to sit on. Shower head and sprayer were full of mineral buildup and sprayer did not work. Old old old, too much to list. In the Inn, the coffee was out, only 1 coffee cup left, trash was literally over flowing from the waste basket, photo copies of hiking maps were empty. The fire extinguishers in the Inn and room hadn’t been inspected since Dec 2022 and expired in Dec 2023, it is now Oct 2024. The large patio paver expansion had a work stop order tag on it from Yavapai County due to no permit. Who is running this place? Was not a good experience especially for the money. We will never be back.

We enjoyed our stay in the Tumbleweed room. The room was cozy and clean and the fireplace in working order. The common outside area was lovely for sipping coffee in the morning. We felt staff were helpful and available if needed during the day, but interactions were short and to the point. This interaction was fine with us but might be lacking if you are expecting an experience with more welcoming, involved hosts that are interested in conversation and providing recommendations.

Very tasteful decor, my garden suite room had a lot of natural light, was very clean and spacious. Grounds were well kept, beautiful patio, jacuzzi and gardens. The location is perfect for walking a very short distance to hook up to the Bell Rock area trails. The bed was so comfortable, loved my private deck to eat meals and look out at the beautiful scenery. Very peaceful and beautiful.

The Adobe Village Inn was an absolute dream! My husband and I recently stayed here on our honeymoon and it was beyond anything we could’ve imagined. Staying here, we were able to experience the best of both worlds - it was a short distance to town with lots of great restaurants and shops, yet it felt like we were sleeping right in the middle of nature - birds chirping, fresh air, views of the mountains.. and don’t even get me started on those sunsets. This was the perfect place to disconnect from the busyness of life and have peace, quiet and a time to relaxed that we so desperately needed and wanted. There was even a beautiful pool and hot tub to top it off. I also can’t speak highly enough about the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we had an exceptional stay. Our rooms were spotless and the girl at the front desk give excellent restaurant and hiking recommendations - which made our trip that much more memorable. We felt like we were the only ones there, yet knew she was there if we needed anything and would be well taken care of. I would recommend anyone to stay here. My husband and I feel renewed, well rested, and ready to go back! :)

Die Lage im Village of Oak Creek war sehr gut. Das Zimmer war sauber und nett, der Ausblick vom Balkon sehr schön. Auch der Aussenbereich ist nett. Aber...Es gab überhaupt keinen Service. Ein paar Tage vor Ankunft bekamen wir die Aufforderung, uns digital einzuchecken und erhielten einen vierstelligen Code. Über dem Code stand eine "109" - wir nahmen an, dass dies die Zimmernummer sei. Bei der Ankunft standen wir vor verschlossener Tür. Zum Glück kam uns ein Paar zu Hilfe, das ebenfalls zu Gast war. Die beiden verrieten uns den Code für die Eingangstür und klärten telefonisch ab, welches Zimmer wir haben, denn eine 109 gibt es in der ganzen Anlage nicht. Die Zimmer haben Namen, nicht Nummern. Der Code funktionierte, das Zimmer war sauber und schön, aber es gab kein Housekeeping für den viertägigen Aufenthalt, bzw. diesen hätte man telefonisch anfordern können (Roaming Gebühren mit Schweizer Handy...). Als die Lampe im Bad kaputt war, schrieb ich über *********** und bekam sofort Antwort, dass sie sich kümmern werde und sich wieder melden würde. Es geschah nichts. Auch andere Gäste konnten die Eingangstür nicht öffnen, ohne dass wir oder jemand anders den Code verraten hätte. Der Wunsch nach einer Ansprechperson vor Ort wurde mehrfach geäussert. Unsere Nachbarn trafen sogar auf ein ungemachtes Zimmer und reisten sogleich wieder ab. Schade, die Anlage könnte ein Juwel sein, aber mit diesem nicht vorhandenen Service macht sich der Betreiber keine Freude.
