The Oceanfront Inn - Virginia Beach

We've been using the Oceanfront for many years now. It's a very reasonably priced hotel, nicely located and quite well-kept. The staff is always pleasant and ready to answer questions or address any need we've had. In about 10 days on the road this trip, this was the best night's sleep I had...the most comfortable mattress and pillows. We love the pool here. It's deep enough and long enough to really feel like you've done a lap when you get to the other end. It's generally very well-kept and pleasantly warm. Since we generally travel in the off-season, we often have the pool all to ourselves, which is nice.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$. UNSANITARY, OLD DECOR, PAINT PEELING FROM WALL, HAIR IN TUB, DINGY, AND A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. THE POOL AREA HAS MOLD AND WAS FILTHY. WE REQUESTED REFUNDS AND ONLY RECEIVED PARTIAL (WHICH THEY DO NOT TELL YOU UNTIL AFTER YOU CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT AND REALIZE THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IS NOT THE AMOUNT REFUNDED). TOTAL RIP-OFF!

This is a very dated older hotel. Checked into a room that was very dated and showed signs of not being cared for. To start the floors were very dirty with sandy texture the whole time we were there. Second was the bathroom whose ceiling was cracked and peeling,the floors had dirty edges around the whole room. Third the vanity couldn’t have been any smaller and the vent fan sounded like a garbage disposal. Our room came with free hot breakfast,but, nothing was hot. They also had no toast or juice. Would not recommend this place to my 2orst enemy.

I knew was not going be a resort but the pictures show nice rooms and the location was perfect. Well, the location was perfect but the hotel is more like a motel. Pros: Perfect location, close to everything. The people at the front desk were very nice a professional all the time. The rooms are all ocean view and have nice new floor but that will be all. Cons; Very dated rooms, the furniture very old and warm out, the bathroom has new sink but the toilet is like kids toilet and the shower extremely small, I'm 5'4" and I could easily touch the ceiling that looks like from last century. It wasn't dirty but very, extremely dated. It doesn't have a closet, only hangers in an open space. We stay three nights, had two rooms and we had to call the front desk several times. All the issues were resolved but we didn't need to go through that. The toilet was leaking when we arrived, the shower didn't have curtain, the remote control didn't work, they didn't refresh the room, and when I called around 4pm, they sent someone with clean towels and a broom. Why they didn't refresh my room? Don't know but I was in shock when the guy passed me the broom, lol. The restaurant it's not even worth to talk about, the pregnant waitress was very rude, long wait a food awful, don't even think about going there and the bartender was google how to mix my drink. Bottom line, I won't stay in this hotel again and I don't recommend to anyone, unless your expectations are for a good motel

It took 3 times to get an acceptable room. Room 410 smelled like cigarette smoke. Then the desk clerk sent us to 414 which had a mattress against the wall and dirty linens on the floor. Finally was given room 401 which was good enough for the 1 night we were staying. This place needs a refresh bad. It’s dated with cracked ceilings and drywall. The bathroom was rusty and crusty. Sea salt takes its toll on things like that but come on, deep clean these units once in a while to keep that from happening

Customer service is top notch. The hotel itself is older and could use some updates but you can tell that the owners take pride in their establishment. The staff was friendly and courteous. There was often an employee on duty maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby/guest areas. We had a few minor issues but a call down to the front desk had an employee to our room to remedy the situation within minutes. Great location too! Will definitely stay here again.
