Frankaborough Farm Holiday Cottages

We had a wonderful stay at the I-hut here, gorgeous views to distant Dartmoor, and the hut was very well equipped. We loved watching the birds from our terrace. Great location, within easy walking distance of Rewilding Coombeshead where we had booked a tour. Linda was kindness itself : our car having broken down en route we arrived by public transport to Lifton, yet Linda looked after us and dropped us back at the train station for our return trip. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Frankaborough Farm.

We enjoyed 4 nights based at Frankaborough Farm cottages and stayed in 'The Retreat' which overlooks fields and Dartmoor. We loved the beautiful early morning misty sunrises and watching bats from the large bedroom window as the day drew to a close. We visited Coombeshead rewilding, which is within easy walking distance, so accommodation here is perfect. Linda, our host/owner was very welcoming, kind and ready with suggestions on lovely places to visit each day, and evening restuarants. Nothing is too much trouble, Delicioius homecooked breakfasts set us up for our busy days, and our accomodation was very clean, warm and comfortable. Highly recommend - we would return if we visit Devon/Cornwall again.

We (a choir from Germany) spent a week at Frankaborough Farm. The place is fantastic for everybody who wants to escape the busy city. The countryside is just lovely. You have a free view to Dartmoor. We experienced a most welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was so delicious and even very hungry people won‘t be able to empty the buffet. Thank you Linda for you hospitality!

The Banbury's are a fun and marvellous welcoming family. The breakfasts are terrific. All the accommodation is spotlessly clean and tidy. I don't want to recommend them too highly in case lots of people book and we can't come again! I love staying here.

Linda, Derek and their family are great hosts. The accommodation is well equipped. Kitchen has all the mod-cons Rooms are warm, comfortable and spacious. The WiFi is excellent. We had a very happy stay. Overall I would recommend this quiet rural retreat to people wanting a small taste of farming life.

A warm welcome and big smile from Linda was just the tonic after a long drive from Manchester. Nothing was too much trouble and the hot tub was a welcome bonus. We stayed in the ilodge and it was perfect for the two of us and our puppy. Stunning views from the lodge and it had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. Warm and comfortable. Even the storm didn’t disturb us. Perfect place to stay for our first visit to Devon and Cornwall.
