AVOID AT ALL COST!! Definitely not worth the money and time! We have stayed at much better properties and facilities which are way better than this for a lower cost! Property needs a lot of work! Air con not working properly, shower is blocked and hot water not working properly! Food choice is limited, not great compared with other places we stayed during this Tuscany trip. Staff are generally nice which is the only thing I can say.

We arrived at Borgo Pignano for one night and immediately wanted to extend our stay, this was before we were aware that we had been upgraded to the most stunning signature suite we have ever stayed in with views towards Volterra. We were treated as individuals and as if we were family. The Borgo is impeccable in every way, the service, the ambience, style, attention to detail, stunning art and the views, goodness the views. We kept finding treasures, such as the billiard room, library, herb room, and of course the Italian fiat collection. The food was divine, particularly the tasting menu with the most perfectly paired wine served in the beautiful Michelin green star restaurant. The highlight was the tour with Gigi on one of the many golf carts where we picked prunes directly from the trees and fed the pigs. He was simply wonderful and showed real empathy when I found out some sad personal news whilst at the hotel. My partner and I are already planning a trip back to Pignano and I can’t wait.

We booked a room at the hotel. We didn’t have any recommendations, but the location and rating convinced us it was worth trying. We traveled from Rome to this wonderful place. The location and views of the hotel are beyond words—simply extraordinary. The structure of the hotel looks like something out of a movie. A beautifully maintained fortress, and from the very first moment, you realize you've come to the right place From the moment of arrival, the wonderful, kind, and welcoming staff makes every guest feel special and wanted. The rooms in the main building are truly impressive.The gardening and vegetation at the place captivate the heart from the very first moment. The on-site restaurants come highly recommended, and indeed, we fell in love and didn’t go out to eat elsewhere. Just like in football, where they say you don’t change a .winning team, we didn’t want to change a winning formula In summary, anyone looking to enjoy this area—this is certainly one of the best options. Special thanks to Gigi, the hotel manager, who manages to personally reach every guest and ensures everything is to their satisfaction. We’re already booking rooms for the end of summer. NAOMI &EHUD

From start to finish, this hotel offers white glove service while making you feel right at home on their beautiful and historic resort. The hotel covers the size of 400 football fields and is as undeveloped as it is lush and vibrant. The rooms were charming and stocked to offer a comfortable and memorable experience. Though we only stayed one night, we wished we had cancelled our trip to Cinque Terre and Florence and just stayed longer. The views are so picturesque and make you feel like you’re in a fairytale. Even their restaurant is top tier, offering a Michelin experience and top notch dining. The additional complimentary dishes were surprising and equally tasty. The service, again, unmatched. Will visit again very soon!

Our new favorite place in Tuscany! Beautiful grounds and delicious food. A highlight for our family was the farm tour with Gigi! We enjoyed dinner at their green Michelin star restaurant and the medieval dining room. Our only regret was we didn’t stay longer!

Great place, stunning views with close distance to nearby towns. Super friendly and helpful staff. Luxurious accommodations. There’s also so much to do, multiple pools, sports courts, gym, riding, library, billiards room, games, the list goes on and on. 100% recommend.

The moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff and shown immediately to the garden where we experienced an amazing aperitif served by knowledgable & friendly bar staff. We ate at the Al Fresco restaurant as the sun set. The food was glorious only out shown by the amazing service and panoramic view.
