Siddhalepa Ayurveda Resort - All Meals, Ayurveda Treatment and Yoga

Das Resort liegt direkt am Strand, etwa 90 Minuten Fahrtzeit vom Bandanaraike Airport entfernt. Die Anlage ist schon etwas älter, aber gepflegt und sauber. Viele der Häuser sind schon komplett durchrenoviert, einige Behandlungsräume haben etwas Handlungsbedarf, die Mitarbeiter sind ausnahmslos freundlich und engagiert. Das Essen ist reichhaltig, abwechslungsreich und immer schmackhaft. Das Obst- und Salatangebot ist ebenfalls sehr reich- und vielseitig. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Tatsache, das sämtliche Öle, Tinkturen, Tees und Medikamente selber traditionell hergestellt werden. Eine tropische Wohlfühloase, komme gerne wieder.

Relax, professionalism and beauty: this are the words to describe this magic place, where your soul and your body will regenerate in a few days. If you like the stress, the cities, the life driven by money and arrogance … DO NOT GO THERE!) The Ayurveda philosophy impact can be, for people who do not know ( like me)), quite strong. The distance by car from Colombo airport is really acceptable ( about 1 hour), but due to the hot temperature and high humidity, your desire it is to arrive and relax with a cold beer on the sea shore. BUT when you will arrive the staff will immediately take care of you, offering teas, herbal teas and suggesting to drink “warm water” or “room temperature water”. After a moment of bewilderment, you will start to dive in the Ayurveda world .. made of tasty but health food, treatments and massages for many hours a day, yoga, books, relax. The result?… just after 2 days my friend (who was doubtful of the Ayurveda philosophy ) with high blood pressure, had the proof that it has been normalised; after 2-3 days you feel better, calm, relaxed and with a rep sense of serenity…. and… despite you are on a very comfortable resort, you understand that there is MUCH more than money behind the professionalism and philosophy of the location. And you will live this experience surrounded by the the fantastic Sri Lankan citizen, the “smiling island”.

Wir waren schon oft im SAHR und fühlen uns jedes Mal wie zu Hause. Ob Ärzte, Behandlungen, Zimmer und -service, Küche, Restaurant und Service, Pool, Garten,....- man wird liebevoll und bestens betreut. Besonders hervorzuheben ist Mr. Surendra (Rezeption), der bei jeglichem Problem zur Seite steht und gerne hilft. Ein riesengroßes DANKE an das gesamte Team des SAHR in Wadduwa!!!

I was amazed by thier servuce i have never experince such a hospitality verytgin was well organized .dr was well educated he was verry kind .i feel verry relaxed after the treatments. I recomend using oil bath treatment which is verry good .thank you team

Zuerst das Positive: ein grandioser Pool, die Freundlichkeit des Personals im Service ist beeindruckend. Leider fehlt es überall an Informationen, schon bei Ankunft. Man muss immer nachfragen z. B.nach einem Mosquitonetz, ist dringend nötig, da es überall diese Stechmücken gibt, ist eine Plage. Die Ärzte kennen nur Ayurveda Therapien, Tabletten, Tees, Tinkturen, Massagen. Ich hatte weder eine Untersuchung oder Diagnose zu Anfang oder am Ende, weder Puls noch Dosha Typisierung. Das Resort ist schon ein bißchen in die Jahre gekommen, es könnte überall ein face lifting vertragen, besonders im Bad, die Dusche, nur Regendusche, ist verkalkt. Am Weihnachten waren wir nur 4 Gäste, an Silvester 11, bei 51 Zimmern, das läßt doch einige Schlüsse zu. Ich, und andere Gäste, waren enttäuscht, ich werde dieses Resort nicht wieder besuchen. Das Resort ist im Privatbesitz, und gehört zu einer Teefabrik und einer Ayurveda Medizin Fabrik.
