John and Helen were excellent and welcoming hosts. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! We were able to get checked in between our morning and afternoon cave tours and had a lovely stay! This was the only B&B we stayed at in New Zealand but we loved it!

Ein tolle Möglichkeit an den Waitamo Caves zu übernachten. John und Helen sind tolle Gastgeber! Das Frühstück ist sagenhaft! John erklärt jeden Honig, macht tolle Eier und ein super Chutney! Der Ausblick aus dem Cave Zimmer klasse ! Ein wirklich besonderer Ort!

Wir waren vom zu 4 dort vom 21.3-22..3.24 dort. Es war alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Die Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Die Auffahrt zum B&B war eine Herausforderung, sehr steil und eng aber machbar. Das Frühstück wurde auf nach eigenen Wunsch zubereitet. Teil des Frühstücks war eine große Honigauswahl die uns erklärt wurde. Vielen herzlichen Dank

Although the way up the hill to where the B&B is, seems like a reversed abseil, that is all part of the adventure for us. Straight-forward check in. We were given a list to note our preferences for breakfast, great! The hosts helped us out with heating up some food. There was a fine selection of books and dvd's which we browsed through. The themed rooms were small and somewhat noisy but we liked it nonetheless. It also has a porch with great view. John cooked us a delicious breakfast in the morning, we were really happy with this.

The Abseil Inn hit all the marks for a casual, friendly, comfortable one-night stay in Waitomo. Our room , the Farm Room, was spacious with entrances both to the front yard and the inner hallway to the dining room. Our hosts, Helen and John, were absolutely lovely and the highlight was the communal breakfast they served in their dining room. Note the driveway up to the Inn is extremely steep and narrow, so if you're a nervous driver you'll have to get over that. A perfectly lovely stay.
