I have been staying at Home2 Suites by Hilton Grand Rapids North for nearly 200 nights each year over the past three years, and I can say with complete confidence - this is hands down one of the best hotels in Michigan. From day one, everyone at H2S has exceeded my expectations in every single aspect. The cleanliness of the hotel is absolutely top-tier. Whether it's the lobby, hallways, fitness center, pool, or rooms, everything is consistently spotless. It's evident that cleanliness and hygiene are a top priority here, which is especially reassuring for long-term stays. The staff at Home2 Suites Grand Rapids North is nothing short of incredible. Every team member, from front desk to housekeeping to maintenance, goes out of their way to make guests feel welcome and cared for. They're always friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating. The way this Hotel is run speaks volumes about the dedication of ownership and leadership. The staff seems genuinely happy, and that positivity translates into their interactions with guests. You can tell that the owners and management team truly take care of their employees, and it reflects in the high standard of service and consistency throughout the hotel. The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed for both short and extended stays. The kitchenettes are a great touch for guests who like to cook, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The amenities - whether it’s the fitness center, laundry area, Pool or complimentary breakfast are always well-maintained and guest-friendly. After hundreds of nights here during the crazy storm and power outage, I have never once been disappointed. Quiet stay We only stayed for one night. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Located in a quiet nook on the edge of town. Even though the interstate is nearby, you would never know it. Easy to get to and near a lot of restaurants and shopping, even a movie theatre.

Couldnt get a hot shower. Break

Similar to the review below me (which feels like my almost exact experience), I was woken up to a bed bug crawling in my sheets. I freaked out, jumped in the shower, and left clothing (including a sentimental sweatshirt). I was able to get a picture of the bug as it was crawling on the bed. When I went to notify the staff (it was during breakfast so I tried to be discreet), it was like it didn't matter at all. The staff member simply told me that if I didn't have bugs on me, to throw my clothes in the dryer to kill them. It made me think this is something that doesn't matter to them. After I left (where i was going to another location because this was a week-long work trip), I was called by a manager to refund me the money (which meant nothing to me as work was paying for the cost). I then left a complaint on the Hilton website, and the general manager called me right away. I felt very gaslit as a voicemail was left for me telling me that pest control was there and they found no bed bugs and I am fine. She also told me they haven't had bed bugs in 5+ years which I am now seeing is untrue. I called back and told her I had a photo to prove there was at least one bug. I also told her that I left about $150 worth of clothing in the room because I did not want to bring it to the next hotel or home, and she let me know that they would wash and send my clothes back. It is 10 days later (I am from Chicago so this wouldn't take long) and I have not heard anything from this hotel. I stayed here before and really enjoyed my stay, but this was absolutely traumatic that I still am constantly searching to see if bugs are in my bag/clothes. The hotel staff need to be better in their responses when people are clearly freaked out.
