Travelodge Cheshunt

We had a good stay at the Travelodge. The room as clean and comfy. Plenty of free parking. The kettle in the room had a build up limescale, and the footmat for the shower was missing, but this was quickly rectified by staff. The weather was also very hot during our stay, there is no air con at the hotel, but the staff provided us with fans and offered to give us more if needed. Overall we had a good stay, the room had everything we needed and the staff were very attentive. Especially Delia on reception, she greeted us with the warmest welcome and took an interest in making sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. We would recommend and would book again.

Getting to Cheshunt Travelodge was easy for us. We travelled from Sussex - mostly round the M25 - and it is only 5 minutes from the M25's A10 junction to the hotel. Location was perfect for us as we were visiting family in Enfield 10 minutes drive away, We were somewhat surprised to find the building covered in scaffolding and we assumed that it was being redecorated. (We were unable to ascertain why the scaffolding was there). We were delighted with the multi cultural welcome. Booking in was straightforward. The room was generously sized and had all the usual necessities. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but adequate. We wish hotels could work out how to make sure that shower water stays in the bath and does not drip on to the floor! (Our bath / shower at home doesn't deposit water on to the floor). The room was quiet. We were situated on the car park side of the building - that is away from the A10 which must make a big difference. The car parking was straightforward. Even at its busiest there was always car park space free. We had breakfast each morning and we were happy with the food on offer - cereals - a small selection of fruit - the usual fried breakfast items. We had breakfast at different times of the day but there was always space. For years we have been going to the other well known hotel chain but were badly disappointed on our last visit. We have had a great time at Cheshunt Travelodge and we hope to return again soon.

We stayed during the freakishly hot weather mid June. As a result of the uninterrupted sun and high temperatures, the room itself was insufferably hot. But our stay still merits 5* because of the staff. They had taken every effort to minimise the heat (light bedding, fan in the room, curtains closed before arrival) which we at least appreciated. And every single one of the staff was excellent - positive, helpful, efficient and smiling. We couldn't be more impressed. The previous weekend we were at Gleneagles (true world-class service), and frankly everyone at this Travelodge could have come from there. Aside from the staff the breakfast was really good and incredible value. Nice, tasty sausages and perfectly cooked bacon and scrambled eggs - refreshed regularly in small quantities. And a pretty decent bar for a late nightcap was a bonus too! In case it's helpful the turkish restaurant next door was good too!

Plenty of parking spaces directly outside the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. We found the cooked breakfast items (buffet serve yourself) not very good, Just about warm, not hot enough. Bacon hard, mushrooms shrivelled, scrambled egg rubbery. Fruit juice option only apple & orange or apple. I would prefer just orange. I think it overpriced.

Delia and Karina were fantastic. Fast, effective, and always so polite. They even did a very cute surprise for my birthday! They make every breakfast so welcoming, which always started my long days at work in a positive way. Thanks so much guys!

Served our purpose, staff were friendly and proffesional, room was a good size, clean and extremely comfortable. Would recommend highly. Well done everyone involved.
