About the Community/Property: Prominence is an excellent choice for families and travelers looking to enjoy the stunning white sandy beaches of The Panhandle. Prominence features amazing amenities, open green spaces, and easy access to over 17 miles of bike paths. Guests can take advantage of a beautiful town center, resort-style pools, and a fitness center. The Hub is a family hot spot for entertainment. It features an outdoor 25-ft. LED theater screen, which plays, on the green, various sporting events and movies. Concerts, family activities, restaurants, and boutique shops (including Luke Bryan’s new cigar shop) are just some destinations within a 5-minute walk. Prominence is perfectly placed right in the middle of Seaside & Seagrove Beach, to the west, and Alys & Rosemary, to the east. This resort is located less than 15 miles from Pier Park. While staying at the Prominence, you have 2 pools to choose from (North & South Sides). North Pool hours: 8AM–9PM South Pool hours: 8AM-Dusk No Lifeguard on Duty; children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Pools are not heated. There are no hot tubs. No glass nor flotation devices may be brought to the pool decks. Please note that inclement weather (lightning within 5 miles) will lead security to lock entrances to the pool deck. While staying at the Prominence, you have many close by options! Deer Lake State Park (long boardwalk with stairs & ramps to beach – not ideal for elderly) Less than a mile away (about a 5-minute golf cart ride or less than a 10-minute walk! Must pay to park: cars and golf carts (approximately $3 per vehicle/cart) and bicycles ($2). I recommend arriving early, as parking is limited. Once full, the entrance will close. No beach service is provided here. Walton Dunes (access to beach with no stairs or ramp) Just 2½ miles down the road. Take a left at Lakewood Drive and follow the curve until you see the parking lot for cars/golf carts. Beach service is provided here, but there are no other amenities. Santa Clara (ramp but no stairs) About 3½ miles from Prominence. Located on Scenic 30A; ½-mile east of Scenic 395; turn south on Bramble Grove Place. During the peak season, visitors will have access to parking, restrooms, beach service, and lifeguards. Gulf Lakes (stairs but no ramps) Just ½ a mile east of Prominence. Offers parking for bikes (no cars), freshwater shower, and beach service. Please note, there are no restrooms. Tents/canopies up to 10' x 10' are allowed during daytime hours on public beaches. Larger tents are allowed on private beach property. Beach fires are permitted. However, you must get a permit and pay a fee (and, of course, clean up afterwards)! In 3.1 miles, turn right onto S. County Hwy 395. In 3 miles, turn left on E. County Hwy 30A. In 4.1 miles, your destination is on your right. When you arrive at Prominence - follow the road around to the right of the pool and go straight at the stop sign. Continue to the back of the neighborhood as the road curves around; 146 will be on your right. Look for the creamy white building with black garage doors. Park in the B parking spot; the front door is around the right side towards the back of the building. For garage access, when entering the code provided, press all keys slowly and firmly (including the word ENTER). Other details to note: Publix in Watercolor Crossing on S County HWY 395. About 5 miles away, or a 10-15-minute drive. I recommend going in the evening, as there are long lines and more traffic during the day. Groceries can be delivered to your vacation rental with Instacart, Shipt, 850 Elite Groceries, or Beachside Groceries. Transportation Options: Rent a car at the airport Golf Cart Uber & Lyft (Not Always Readily Available) Rent a Jeep from 30A Jeep Rentals Rent a bike at The Hub from Salt Air 30A or Frankie’s Upon booking, you’ll receive timely communications about your trip. Access to your professionally cleaned and sanitized home is also convenient with our custom keyless locks.
