Nico was super accommodating. He let us wheel our bikes straight back into our room so they didn’t have to stay outside. There were snacks and drinks out for us your arrival and he even made parking very simple for us. The garden out back was stocked with wood in the fire pit and a lighter. The location in Georgetown is within walking distance of all sort of shopping and eating destinations. We chose this place randomly only because my husband is called Poppy by our grandchildren. We got very lucky!

The Poppy is very well located away from M Street and all the traffic, with easy access to Rock Creek and all the shops. Good breakfast. Our only complaint was in room 10 there is a broad wooden bench at the foot of the bed. Call us clumsy but in the middle of the night we both fell fully on the floor having tripped over the bench. Disappointingly, the hotel never wrote back to smooth that detail over. Be careful!

This place is awesome! Located near restaurants, shopping, etc. in Georgetown— yet super quiet location with everything you need to ensure a first class experience. Rooms are super clean with comfortable beds,double sinks modern bathrooms with huge walk-in shower. Great black out shades/curtains and ironing boards and irons available if needed. The easy combo lock access to rooms and front door made coming and going a no fuss operation. Breakfast was perfect—selection of local pastries, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, charcuterie, hard/soft boiled eggs, etc. Coffee from a real barista machine—delicious cappuccino or regular brew with multiple choices on flavors. This is the best hotel deal in Georgetown— a real treasure!

If you ever what to have a hotel stay and/or a private event in Washington, DC, I would highly recommend The Poppy Georgetown, a boutique hotel located in the historic district of Georgetown. Recently, I hosted a party of 15 guests. The Poppy Georgetown was my first choice of venue. The guesthouse offers rooms for your guests, a beautifully landscaped garden, a common and very charming area to gather, and the place is spotless. You won't be disappointed.

My family, my parents and my brother's family all stayed at The Poppy over Memorial Day weekend and we had the best time. Our rooms were perfect for our needs and we loved the private patio off of my parents room. Breakfast was such a win each morning for kids and adults alike. We will definitely stay there again, highly recommend for families and groups!

Enjoyed our 2-night stay. Convenient location if want to visit sites in and around Georgetown. One complaint is the lack of temporary parking to drop off passengers and luggage for check in or check out. Hotel tries to leave a spot in front open with a small sign but there was always a car parked in the spot forcing one to park in middle of street or finding parking far away. Otherwise, nice accommodations.
