Mercure Thame Lambert Hotel

Just returned from a wonderful mini break experience at this hotel. It was a package that included cream tea on arrival, dinner vouchers on the first evening and tickets into Blenheim Palace for the day. I went with my sister as a treat for her birthday and I can’t praise this hotel and the staff enough. We had a great welcome from Philip on reception who couldn’t do enough for us to ensure our stay was perfect. Lovely big spotless room overlooking fields, yummy cream tea and wonderful evening meal and very well presented breakfast choices too! Close to Thame for a wander among the shops and delicatessens and would also highly recommend The Black Horse pub for drinks and great food. Thank you to all the staff for their help and attention to detail.

My Sister and I spent 2 nights here as part of a package deal with Great Little Breaks UK. There are not enough superlatives to describe the level of service we received from Philip, Admiral and the entire team at the hotel. They definitely put the Host in Hospitality 🥰. Nothing was too much trouble and the food and cocktails were delicious ( We recommend the Vanilla sky in particular 😋) . Whilst not the most luxurious place we have stayed it was definitely high with regards to cleaning and comfort. The bar and restaurant both offered delightful spaces to relax and enjoy the menus. As we ourselves have many years in the hospitality and retail environment ( ex publicans etc) we recognise good service when we encounter it. The young ladies in the restaurant and bar were lovely and attentive as well even when dealing with a couple of " challenging guests". I hope we can visit again and bring our third sister although we may have to send a warning in advance because if they thought two of us were bonkers I'm not sure how they will feel about " we sisters three" 🤣

Had a fantastic afternoon tea, with so much delicious food . Great service and lovely staff. Probably, the best we have had. We will be back.
