LIke many who read these reviews I was concerned about the quality of the room based on a few vocal comments. I can only say our experience with the "third floor" room was just fine. Very large with two queens and a sitting area and everything was working well. As an old building there are certainly some rough corners but overall good value. And the location close to Wellfleet Harbor and Cahoon Hollow was tough to beat.

We stayed at the Carriage House at the Copper Swan in Wellefleet. I read some of the reviews before going which had me concerned. I called and spoke to the owner, John who was very nice and answered all my questions. We got there and our room was just what he said and just what the pictures showed, rustic and very nice, clean and comfortable. There was no TV or working internet, but I didn't go to watch TV, I stayed to sleep after a day of whaling and going to the beach. in the morning there was breakfast included at Breakkeys. Everyone there was super nice and accommodating. We had to leave for an early boatride, so they made us an earlier breakfast to take with us. I need decaf coffee so John went out of his way to make me a special delicious decaf macchiato both days. If you want a 5 + hotel Ritz style, you will complain. If you want a cute, quaint, rustic place to stay then you will be as happy as we were. I would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful place! A great restaurant next door and Main Street was quaint and charming. Simple and relaxing. I’m glad I stayed outside of Provincetown and did the drive in. I stayed in the captains room. Very comfy

The place was exactly what you'd expect staying in an old home like this. My only complaint was the bed. I don't know if it was the floors or the actual bed itself, but it leaned to one side like the supports underneath were broken. Luckily it was a solo trip for me, if i was sharing the bed it definitely would have been a problem.

The staff was amazing and the copper swan was quite through out the day and has amazing scenery and plenty of lounging areas outside to read a book under the leaves. The place we stayed in was very clean and felt like home.

We were greeted by John (the owner?). He's very personable and sincere. John noticed that I had mobility problems and, on his own initiative, moved my wife and me to a room that was more accessible than the one we had booked. John also gave us some good dining tips. A very nice person in every way.
