"Receptionist was patronising and personal - we were old enough to be his grand-parents but spoke to us as if we were his mates down the pub and wanted to know all our business. My wife couldn't have a shower as she'd have to climb into a narrow bath, would have been too dangerous to use. Had to pay £8 to park in hotel car park overnight Poor wifi"

"I loved the surroundings of this hotel. It's a truly medieval setting. There's a monastery right outside the entrance, which you can visit and is truly spectacular. There's also a castle-like ancient building surrounded by a moat with swans. The stairs to the rooms are quite interesting. Breakfast is made to order and is delicious. It includes bread, sausage, and scrambled eggs, as well as bacon and black pudding. Parking is available right outside the entrance. We arrived at 9 PM and left at 10:00 AM the next day. There was no charge for this time. If I were to visit Wells again, I would choose this hotel again. Thank you for your warm hospitality! It made you feel right at home."

"Everything at Worth house was just right, comfort, cleanliness, food, atmosphere is very friendly, this was my third visit to Worth house and it just gets better every time. I have already recommended this place to stay to my friends if they intend to visit this part of the beautiful Somerset countryside, only fifteen minutes from Wells."

Beaconsfield Farm

"Currently staying at Beaconsfield, in Swallows Nest, 1 Bedroom apartment with Balcony, absolutely Lovely, very homely, all mod cons, brilliant Views, we have stayed before but in the Garden cottages, this is the Best. Our 5th/6th time. Welcome Cream Tea a Bonus. Definately Recommend ⭐⭐🌟🌟⭐ 5 Stars"

"Visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch. First thing I have noticed is that is very overpriced for what it is. Staff was nice but the food wasn't average especially for the price. I am sure that we will have better food anywhere else for less money."

"We ate twice at this lovely country pub. Food was very tasty and plentiful. We ate off the specials menu - tasty curry and salmon dish. Also had lasagne off the main menu. The homemade ice cream was delicious - so yummy ( ginger especially). The owner, Peter, came and had a chat with us and him and his staff were very hospitable. We loved the shop there - such a great idea in this small village!"
