"The perfect location in central Wernigerode for your stay. An easy walk to the castle, the steam Brockenbahn and the main railway station from here, as well as all the local cafes and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, although little to no English is spoken here, so brush up on your German before travelling. Breakfast is plentiful and first class, the rooms are comfortable with nice bathrooms and there is a fridge in each room. WiFi is excellent. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Wernigerode."

"We had a bean in the room. The boss pointed us to be here on the countryside and the problem is known for a long time. There we had luck again, there are also leaves and leafs on the countryside. Breakfast has a large choice and is tasty. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is optimal because in 15 minutes you'll walk in the city. We'll come back as the price-performance ratio is excellent."

"We stayed three nights on a road trip to the Harz. The historic hotel is situated in beautifully restored buildings at the central Marktplatz in Wernigerode. Good parking is available behind the hotel at EUR 12/day. Our room was spacious, very clean and quiet and equipped with most of the amenities you would expect, including air con, a safe and minibar, and we only missed the opportunity to make our own coffee. The bathroom was also very nice and clean and housekeeping was excellent. Our package included dinner and the food and service in the restaurant was excellent. The wine list was really impressive too. The included breakfast was very good with a large selection of hot and cold items and we really enjoyed our stay here. "
