Horrible location Horrible location, cars don’t go up the inclined road that has lots of holes and rocks

You get what you paid for. I’d like to first rate the owner and operator, Ms Barbara, she was awesome, a solid 10. The facilities, ….well, it depends on who you are and what you’re looking for. If you’re backpacking through and you just need a place to crash it will be perfect. Well, almost perfect. If you’re not a backpacker Roatan BnB may not be as convenient as you had imagined. The building is a charming wood structure that has seen better days and maintenance: Windows and doors, screens, don’t all operate as they should. Appliances, WiFi, too don’t always operate. One unit had a tv but the other unit did not. One ceiling fan wobbled and it looked dangerously close to falling. A kitchen table was broken and it was haphazardly patched up instead of being replaced. Sundays are the maid’s day off so there are no services that day. The building is located some 600 meters uphill from the beach which enjoys refreshing breezes all day long. Hot showers are available but if the BnB is under heavy use the water cistern may get all used up leaving the facilities with no water. I get it, and to a large extent I understand: it’s island life, the Caribbean, and no posh location; the price reflecting the age and wear of the facilities so overall it was OK.

Such a charming and architecturally special bed and breakfast in West End! The wood home and paneling makes you feel like you're in a big treehouse complete with a spiral staircase. The communal and main living and kitchen space is completely open with amazing windows and natural lighting with a big veranda off the space to relax. My room had an en-suite bathroom and the simple space was perfect - comfortable after a long day of scuba diving and sun. The owner was kind enough to show me some of the other spaces in the home and all the rooms and apartments I had a chance to see were so cute and the rooftop terrace, incredible! If you enjoy a home stay feel amongst nature, love a great patio or rooftop to read or journal, and don't mind a 15-minute walk in order to retreat from the noise of the West End nightlife, you'll really appreciate this spot. The owner, Barbara, is a long time resident of the island and so lovely and sweet to talk with. I loved her stories of moving to the island and seeing it evolve of the years, plus her vision for this house coming to reality!

The lady is nice, unfortunately we had to leave the first night on a non refundable policy with more nights paid. The conditions are terrible especially because i was traveling with my baby and there was spiders everywhere, mushrooms growing out of the wood inside the rooms. Completely false advertisement and not what seeing on the pictures.

I rented an amazing room at first floor at the begining and for 1 more week I stayed in a confortable apartment and both the solutions were excellent. The charme of Barbara's B&B is unique. You are at the top of the hill in just 10min walking from the beach and the night life, thourgh a nice local area, where everyone is smiling. The breackfast is served in a huge and beautiful main floor with an outstanding terrace overlooking the sea. The Host is alwasy present and she is a sweetheart. You wouild feel like being home. I highly recommend it, also if you like to sleep in a silent sourranding.

Nette ruhige Unterkunft, auch Barbara ist eine sehr nette Person. Das Frühstück wahr nicht's besonderes aber Barbara hat es uns sogar erlassen. Wir durften dort ein sehr nettes Paar aus Kanada kennenlernen mit ihnen haben wir sehr nette Abende verbracht.
