Limestone Hotel

The hotel is pleasant and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are nicely cooked but it would be good to have toast brought to the table rather than have to queue for a toaster and do it oneself. Also the constant music in the dining room is irritating, personally I don’t want rock music in the morning. Tables are very small and lot of fiddling about with crockery takes place. Our room, the Boathouse, was cheerful and cosy but there was very little storage space, no drawers at all, just a large cupboard space with hangers set into the wall. The bathroom was clean and had an outside window, much nicer than the usual cubbyhole one gets so often in hotels. Again there was no shelf, had to use the window ledge for toiletries. The shower is over the bath and a real hazard. No grab rail and the bottom of the bath is slippy smooth with nothing to stop your feet going from under you unless you move very carefully. If you have a bath you can’t reach the shower gel etc. as the bottles are fixed to the wall several feet above your head. Dinner was well presented and tasty. The hotel is really too expensive for providing just b and b. Personally I think it would have been good to include a short menu table d’hote dinner as well. The hotel is approached by steep paths and stairs so not accessible if you have mobility problems. The car park is narrow so everyone needs to park properly to avoid problems.

Cosy and peaceful hotel with delicious homemade food. Lovely decor and plenty of storage in the room. Walking distance to local shops and hiking trail. Homemade food served, all fresh and delicious.Avocado tartar is worth mentioning for absolutely delicious taste. Friendly and helpful reception member and housekeeping. Shame dinner is not served on Monday and Tuesday but light bits were delicious. Only let down was poor quality of coffee Overall wonderful place with beautiful decor, professional and friendly staff and compliments to chef for delicious meals.

Overall Hotel excellent. Staff friendly and service excellent. Room was a little tired, marks on the carpet. Bathroom could do with a rail as shower over the bath and struggled to get in and out. But overall excellent stay. Location is amazing Food in restaurant was excellent

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean. There are aspects of the hotel that seem tired, including the poor state of the carpet throughout the hotel. We ate in the restuarant in the evening which was excellent. The only downside was the £225 per night cost which I feel was extremely overpriced but not entirely unexpected as everything in that area of Lulworth is ectremely overpriced from the car parking to the cost of food in the local shop.

This was a beautiful destination but the standout was this Hotel and the fabulous staff. Service was second to none. Food was delicious and the lovely French chef went out of his way to make us the perfect meal. Claire and the staff were so hospitable. Didn’t want to leave

Psssst! This is a magical place....exceptional staff, fab food, beautiful hotel and lovely owners! Just go and see for yourself....recommend the Writer's Room but I'm sure the others are just as lovely. We were late arriving and the staff were so kind in looking after us . Thankyou lovely Limestone😊
