Brilliant hotel lovely stay

I visited the restaurant for an early evening meal with three generations of my family, and we all had a lovely experience. The bar and restaurant are tastefully decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and the views of the sea are fantastic. While the menu offered a limited selection of courses, the food itself was delicious and well-prepared. Every dish we tried was enjoyed by all. It's a shame the restaurant wasn’t busier, as it truly deserves more diners. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.

On our arrival we was told the kitchen is out of service, which wasn’t the best start since we chose this place for the onsite restaurant for dinner and cooked breakfasts. The room was ok, bit run down and grimy in places, a breakfast hamper with instant porridge, muffins, pots of yogurt etc, we still would’ve gone for a proper cooked breakfast if it was available. Sleep quality was non existent, room right at the front on the busiest road in north Norfolk, boiling hot day so it was a case of close the windows and use the small fan given to us, which unfortunately was still so hot in the room, had to have windows open just to get air in, noise and music from the bar right below us until past midnight, then doors slamming and people creaking the floorboards walking about. The light outside on the hotel sign lit up our room through the thin curtains all night until dawn. If we hadn’t have paid in full up front, we would’ve just gone elsewhere. Absolute nightmare of a night. Next day just got up and went down the road to the corner tea house for an absolutely amazing breakfast and coffee, cheered us up no end. Got back to the hotel about 3pm, thankfully the kitchen was back up and running again. Had a very nice meal in the restaurant, another bad nights sleep, then went home.
