Quayside Apartments

Another great stay at Quayside Apartments. This has got to be the best location in Whakatane. So handy to all the shops, cafes, and pubs. And don't forget those views out over the water. Our requirements are 2 car parks, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, views and a pool. These do all that and more. Nice easy check-in. A roof top pool with views, a sauna, and a small gym. These apartments are designed for long-term stays so are very well equipped for short stays. Looking forward to our next stay.

This was our second stay here, and it was just as good as the previous time. The weather was fantastic, which meant more time in the pool. Thank goodness for aircon. We had a great view of the cruise ship anchored off the coast and then got to watch the tenders tying up at the isite wharf and discharging the tourists. We love the views from the deck and spent a fair bit of time sitting out there watching the world go by. We would like to think we will be back again as we really enjoy our stays here.

Yes as we left today we were throwing dates around to book our return trip to Quayside Apartments. This was our first time staying at these apartments and it was was a great long weekend. The location is fantastic. There are so many cafes, restaurants, and bars within a short walk. Our 2 bedroom apartment had nice river views. Our list includes 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 car parks, a decent size lounge and dining area, and a view. This apartment covered the lot. The kitchen had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The apartment includes great bathrooms, a fully equipped laundry, and comfortable beds. On the fifth floor is a good size gym, sauna and day room with sofas and a TV. Alongside this is a good deck area with several tables and chairs. And the views are probably the best in Whakatane as this is one ot the tallest buildings around. Then there is the roof top pool. I tried to get in at least 2 swims each day. Yes there was only one towel per person, one dish wash tablet, one powder sachet for the washing machine, and no spare bin liners but it is not the end of the world. All the positives out weigh the few negatives many times over. Just go and sit on the deck for a few minutes and take in the view. That's what it's all about.
