Where do I start. Firstly the room as expected was clean and tidy, which I’ve come to expect with Premier. We arrived just before dinner and decided to eat there, as meals are usually ok. I know they are making changes but the food was terrible. My wife and I had fish and chips, cold chips and powdery tasting fish. My mother had chicken goujons which were like rubber. Coffee was tasteless. Moving on to the morning after a good sleep as we were very tired after a long journey. Shower, ours was cold, we could not get hot water. This was remedied after talking to the reception. Breakfast. We were booked in for 9am. There was no cooked breakfast until nearly 9.45am and because everyone was waiting was gone in a flash so another wait until more was cooked. The only other time we ate there was the last morning which was cooked on request and had to wait 1hr for it. I must add that I think it was all down to being under staffed. The poor lad having to book people in was also taking orders being a waiter and having to clean tables. This guy should be given a medal. I asked at reception if we could change rooms due to trouble for the ladies getting in and out of the bath. This was never addressed, consequently my wife had a fall on the last morning. Lastly you now get two different WiFi signals one is free the other as usual for greedy businesses wasn’t. The free speed was limited to 0.8mb/s Terrible. So after many years of using Premier inns, this will be my last.

We booked a 3 night stay to visit relatives in the Kent area. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful but unfortunately that is the only positive point of my visit to this PI. After the 1st sleepless night because of the heat, we realised the water from the shower was rising above the ankles and not draining as it should and on closer inspection the plug hole was absolutely rammed with previous guests hair. (This was quickly dealt with after staff was informed). However the biggest concern is the lack of air in the room. Windows only open 2 inches which really doesn't clear the window frames so they might as well remain closed. Fans are provided but they only circulate stale, warm air and are very noisy so no sleep. Turn them off and within minutes you are sweating, night clothes sticking and hair plastered to your face so no sleep. In the end we left a day early not being brave enough to face another hot, sleepless night. For goodness sake it's 2025 get some air con units fitted!!!

The hotel decor was very dated and did not meet the standard currentlyb advertised by Premier Inn.. Bed was not great. Shower was an over the bath with a shower curtain. Shower ran hot and cold. The bath was also very high so could be difficult for some people to get into. No handrails in Shower. No air-conditioning and fan provided didn't do a lot.

The room was perfect apart from being extremely hot. I accept that it was on the hottest day of the year but air conditioning would have been very welcome. A fan had been provided. If you are placed at the end of the hotel it is advised that the walk to the later rooms is quite long especially with luggage on a hot day. There is also no lift which is specified on the website. The hotel is only on 2 floors though. Staff were attentive, car parking easy and hotel very clean. Overall a good experience to be expected from Premier Inn. Very short drive to Whitstable and other coastal attractions.

I have regularly stayed at PI over the years and have never felt the need to write a review as they have always been good value and perfectly acceptable. This hotel however has gone down hill. When you arrive you first see a dilapidated and closed Beefeater. The hotel is now tired and in need of a refresh. There is no air conditioning and the rooms are cooled by a noisy fan and furthermore the toilet wouldn’t flush unless you allowed a long time for the system to fill. There was also not a rubber mat in the bath which made having a shower treacherous. Breakfast is now served in a small dull room and as a vegetarian the options were limited. Very disappointing and not what I expect of PI.

Convenient location on a main road easy to find with lots of parking, close to Whitstable town centre. Entrance is at the rear of the building Easy check in Building is in need of a bit of care and attention, paintwork very shabby in halls, front of restaurant area closed. Comfortable bed, shower wasn’t great (not very powerful) Room had a slight musty smell Waited far too long to be seated in the restaurant, not busy but no sign of any staff Hot Breakfast buffet style, Good selection of pastries,Fruit and Yogurt on the Continental breakfast Coffee machine packed up Toaster took forever.. Previous diners plates and cutlery left on tables, making it difficult for new diners to find a clean table. Overall ok but not the best PI stay for the price we paid Would probably stay somewhere else next time we visit

Great setting for Kent coast trip. Welcoming and friendly staff.Bedroom/bathroom clean and comfortable. Great shower and bath. Enjoyed tasty breakfast. However, overall setting is dark and rundown, which may put people off as it looks uncared for.

Hotel was OK. Rather tired.Room only serviced if requested even though we were staying several days. Not what I expect from Premier Inn. The evening meal was very poor, medioca quality, very limited menu, no bar and only a few bottled beers (some on the menu were unavailable) .Breakfast was OK, but nothing special. No atmosphere. Overall disappointed.
