A little bit expensive. Robe should be included in the rooms.

A little frustrating for there to be a water aerobic class at 9.30am with loud club music - not a great start to my “morning bliss” spa day that cost me £110! I’ve had to move to a different area instead of being able to relax around the pool. Other members commented the same also. It would also be nice for there to be a better range of snacks at the bar by the pool - when people are arriving at 8.30am and lunch isn’t until 1pm, it would be nice to have more than just a kitkat or snickers available!

Stayed 2 nights, had breakfast both mornings and a meal in the Silverstone Bar. Pros: - Lots of parking - Room was (mostly) quiet - Good sized room - Good food in the bar, good cocktail menu - Very good breakfast selection - Comfortable bed - Very clean Cons: - Vast maze of corridors linking buildings. No idea how to get in on arrival! - Smelly bathroom (blocked drains?) - Wonky shower head kept falling off. Shower screen leaked over bathroom floor - Some staff were rude (particularly over the phone) - Had to ask for tea and coffee at breakfast. Coffee machine broken. - Whole place seems devoid of natural light even in summer sunshine We already had a room but my partner rang up to book a table for dinner. Spoke to someone but was then cut off. Rang again. Spoke to same man then got cut off again. Ran 3rd time and complained about being cut off - was told curtly that they NEVER cut anyone off and she should book a room online not ring up. She hadn't even got to say we had a room already. Not a good start. Arrived and parked and couldn't immediately find the entrance. The distances between everything in this place would have to be taken into account if you have any mobility issue (we don't). The room was dark (in fact the whole place lacks natural light) and the bathroom smelt very badly of drains when we opened the door. View from room was of brick wall and windows but we only had a standard double. Bed matress was hard but actually very comfortable and we slept well apart from being woken by loud music (from the pool below?) at 8am. Good supplies in the room for tea, coffee etc. As others have said you need to ask if you want anything as they don't clean or replenish automatically. No redecoration since late 1980s / early 1990s which is good if you want retro. Breakfast area is (like everything in this hotel) vast and confusing. We waited for a while and saw others having tea and coffee brought to tables but no staff came to our table. Eventually asked (had to do this again the next morning). There was a coffee machine but it was out-of-order. Finding your way around in this complex is challenging - at one point on the first day we ended up in some kind of laundry collection area while trying to get to the car park! It was a long walk back to the main entrance. Menu and food in the bar area was good. Bar staff were variable - one member of staff snapped at me when I asked out charging to the room. Again bar is dim - in fact all the public areas seem dim because of heavy curtains everywhere. Overall the room suited our needs but I don't think we'd book again.
