Das Bed and Breakfast hat alles, was es braucht. Es ist etwas oberhalb von Wicklow gelegen. Gut zu finden, da auch ausgeschildert. Unser Zimmer war verhältnismäßig gut ausgestattet. So haben wir uns über einen kleinen Kühlschrank sehr gefreut. Es waren aber auch ein Haartrockner und ein Wasserkocher vorhanden, was wir immer sehr hilfreich finden. Das Bad verfügte über Dusche und separate Badewanne. Beim Frühstück konnten wir zwischen verschiedenen Gerichten wählen. Zum Beispiel auch ein Full Irish Breakfast :-) Wir waren hier rundum zufrieden. Knapp vor 5 Sterne.

Fiona is a lovely host. Although I'm late with the review, it's certainly needed as this is a great little place. 3 night stay with sister. Fiona picked us up from the bus stop in Wicklow 7:30pm after our flight from Edinburgh and bus from Dublin airport. She also dropped us to the train station the afternoon we left. Comfortable and warm, perhaps a little small, but not an issue for us. Can walk to town, a good 10minutes though. Walking back is on a very slight incline and I'd recommend catching a taxi (5 euro) at night as there aren't many people on that road, however, it is lit. Plentiful breakfasts.

This B&B is located off the town center so it is very calm and you have no problem sleeping. Our room was big, and very nicely decorated. I believe this was the nicest B&B we visited, the owner has good interior designing taste. The bathroom is a bit small but all the furniture has been adapted to take less space so it doesn't feel cramped at all. The breakfast is very good, you have many different options for breakfast, all homemade. I particularly enjoyed the home made scones with raisins and a touch of cinnamon. It was also very nice to be able to take our breakfast in the veranda. Wifi works well, codes are on the bedroom keys so no need to search or ask to connect, always enjoyable. Reception is good. I recommend this B&B when staying around Wicklow

Très bon B&B au calme tout proche de Wicklow. Chambre très propre assez grande avec tout le confort et même un mini réfrigérateur dans le placard. La salle de bain est la plus grande rencontré durant nos 15 jours en Irlande. Les sanitaires sont neufs avec en plus de la douche une grande baignoire très agréable après une longue journée de visite. Bon petit déjeuner également, une bonne adresse que je met côté si je dois revenir à Wicklow.

Glen Na Smole is a delightful little B&B just outside of Wicklow (which itself is a beautiful town). The warm but not over the top welcome was just as we liked and the room was perfectly appointed with a lovely garden view, kettle, biscuits and even a hot water bottle. The bed was comfortable and we didn’t hear a peep from any of the neighbouring rooms. The highlight was the breakfast - the muesli was the best I had in Ireland and there was also a selection of cheeses and international spreads (including vegemite!) to appease guests from all over. The omelette was absolutely delicious, as was the soda bread. The hospitality was perfect - a sense of humour without fuss. Would definitely recommend.

Nous y sommes restés une nuitée en juin. Très belle grande chambre et salle de bain, rénovées au goût du jour, propre et confortable (à l'exception d'un problème de petites araignées dans le placard). Endroit calme. Stationnement privé adéquat. Par contre, en ce qui concerne les déjeuners, nous avons été déçu, les oeufs étaient vraiment trop poivrés et salés. De plus, nous avons constaté qu'il y a de l'alcool dans la marmelade qui était dans un plat ouvert sur la table et sans y avoir cette indication. Nous l'avons su en demandant à l'hôte s'il y en avait et elle nous a dit oui. Un autre plat était aussi fait avec du Whisky, pour le petit déjeuner. Nous croyons que ça ne devrait pas être dans un B&B pour le petit déjeuner, ceci afin d'éviter des problèmes de santé. Pour le reste bien.
