The Masons Arms

We had a cracking stay here for two nights enjoying three of their en suite bedrooms. Extremely well furnished with fridge, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities. Fabulous cooked breakfasts each morning with locally sourced ingredients and a delicious and enjoyable supper on one of our nights. A very well run and obviously successful business (given how busy it was on a Tuesday/Wednesday in May). Would highly recommend a stay, a meal or just to call in for a drink and warm friendly welcome.

Whilst staying in the village we came across this little gem. On arrival both the locals and the lady behind the bar were extremely friendly, informing us about places to visit and also recommending the local gin and lager. We both ordered steak and chips and weren’t disappointed. The homemade chips were the best ever and plenty of them! Both steaks were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our meal so much that we cancelled our booking for the next night and returned. I had curry (with the chips of course), my husband had the burger and again the meals were amazing. The waitress was very friendly. Definitely worth a visit *****

We have been here many times while on Holiday in Somerset, and this year was just as expected - PERFECT ! The food is fabulous and the portions are HUGE, so don't eat for the whole day, if you are going for an evening meal ! I had the Mushroom and Cheese Omelette with fries and salad - HUGE ! It was gorgeous. Others had the Beef Stroganoff, Halloumi Salad, and also the Chill Concarne. The Steak and Ale Pie was excellent too - again, HUGE ! The service was second to none - the Waiter was right on the ball, pleasant and very efficient - WELL DONE to him. The whole experience was fantastic and we went twice in our weeks Holiday, and will certainly go back there next year. You won't be disappointed by your visit.
