The room was stinky, bathroom was dirty, room floor was slippery like oily. $100 near peppa land seems a catchy deal, but don’t go.

Worst place ever. Wouldn’t even recommend to a homeless person. On a business trip. The rooms are filthy. The have constant problems with the hot water. One day it took 4 hours for them to fix the hot water and I needed to go to work. Front desk staff are disrespectful. You hardly get rooms service and they half ass clean the room if they do come. Floors are disgusting. Shower filled with dirt and hair. Molding on the bathroom ceilings. Ants a bug crawling around door. I knows it’s a cheap hotel but come on this is ridiculous. Health department needs to close this place down asap. Loud window unit ac. You can hear right through the walls. Don’t come here ever. Spend a little extra to go to a nicer place.

If you are looking for a bargain and a chance to expose your family to the seamier side of life and boosts their immune systems with exposure to years of build up grime then this is the hotel for you! The photographer for this hotel needs a bonus! They manage to highlight the best this hotel doesn't have to offer. Check in is a breeze if you have 20 or so minutes to kill while they manually enter your credit card information. Jean will gladly answer any questions you have in terse sentences all the while conveying how she'd really rather you stayed somewhere else. Meanwhile your children can relax on the hotel couches that offer plenty of large pillows with greasy head stains on them, giving you time to make a note to stop at the closest Dollar General and pick up some NIX just in case. Jean will helpfully imply that if you would like to find your car with all your tires on it in the morning you should really park at the front of the hotel and carry all your luggage through the building and around to your room on the other side. But that this access will be denied after 10PM at night, because that is when they lock down the main hotel. Who stays out later than that on vacation anyways? You can always wander around on the dark side of the hotel to get to your room. You'll know you are in the right location when you see the rooms with the doorknobs broken off. To help clear up confusion you need to know that the Econolodge, built as many 1960s Florida hotel were, is in a U-shape around a large pool. All room access is through the outside. 40 or so years ago an ingenious architect decided to tacking a 4 story Quality Inn to one end of the Econolodge. If you are lucky enough to get a Econolodge pool side room on the 1st floor in order to transport your luggage to your room via cart you must first take the elevator to the 3rd floor of the Quality Inn. Go through a plain door stating only "No re-entry without key card". That puts you on second floor of the Econolodge outdoors. You then wander down a hallway to hopefully find another elevator that will take you back down to the first floor of Econolodge that is actually 1 level above the pool. This is great if your kids like to push the elevator buttons, and you need to exercise after a long car ride. You will eventually end up on a long outdoor walkway that has access to the rooms. Each room has a door, large window and an AC unit that face the outdoor walkway. If you are lucky like us, your key card won't actually open your room door or get you access back into the main building so you won't ever have to find out what the inside of the room looks like. That gives you and your family plenty of time to observe the other guests. Some of which are tired families like yours and local business men and women who appear to be on a first name basis with the local law enforcement.
