Winthrop Inn

Started to be a good stay. Woke up in the morning and no hot water. Let it run for 10 min and never any hot water. Tool bags and construction scraps were left out in the hall. Tried for a month to get some money refunded. They said they refunded 10%, but it never showed up. My sister called over and over again, but the money was never refunded.

My wife and I booked a room at The Winthrop Inn during the second week of Aug. Shortly after checking in we discovered the TV in our room was not working. The desk clerk assured us that the TV would be fixed or that we would be charged a reduced rate for the room. That rate reduction was never applied to our bill. The next morning, we asked if we could move to another room with a working TV and we were told that we could. We then packed up and left for the morning to see the sights. We returned around noon and asked the desk clerk for the new room. At that time we were informed that a room would be available “in three or four hours”. I am 82 and my wife is 77 and we needed to rest and relax for an hour or two but we weren’t about to sleep in our car in the Winthrop parking lot. We then calculated that we could drive home to nap in our own beds before a room would be made available to us. Before we left, the desk clerk told us he would ask the owners if he could refund us part of the second day’s rent. As of today our credit card has been charged for the full price for both days. I cannot make a favorable recommendation for the Winthrop Inn due to their poor customer service and lack of urgency to action our complaint.

the room was ok, but had NO HOT WATER. couldn't take a shower at all. when i called about it they said i had to let the water run for 10 minutes to get hot. i had it running for a while, but not sure if it was ten min. never got warm or close to warm. i used to live there and was bragging about the town, and then had a big let down. now i don't care if any one ever goes to winthrop again.

Pictures made this hotel look charming and in -line with the western theme of the town. Located just outside of town. Outside and inside of hotel very ran down. Room was dirty, had large stain on carpet. Bed was uncomfortable and old. Not a great night sleep. Positives: front desk staff was nice.

Our room had two queen beds that were very comfortable that air conditioner works just fine kept the room comfortable it also has a mini refrigerator that works well coffee maker and a microwave they have a breakfast that starts at a.m. 8:00 a.m. in the morning which I did not attend I would definitely stay there again

It was a pet room, however tge carpet was so worn and stretched out you could trip.on it. The only light we could get to work was in the bathroom. The water level in the toilet was to high. Couldn't sitnon it without dipping your man parts. Save you money and go somewhere else. I cant believe this place was on *******! Also was over charged on the pet charge. I was told 20 when i called the hotel, was charged over 30.00!
