The Feathers Hotel

Our second visit to ‘The Feathers’ in less than a month, we had another fabulous stay, the standards in the hotel are exceptional, beautiful rooms, a very comfy bar area and excellent restaurant with ‘The Nest’, the food, wine & service are a delight, I can highly recommend ‘The Feathers’ & with the lovely Woodstock, Blenheim Palace on the doorstep & Oxford 15 minutes away by car what’s not to like.

The Feathers Hotel has recently undergone extensive renovation and we thought we would like to try their restaurant The Nest. The stylish Aviary bar was a pleasure, with an extensive cocktail and wine list and offered lots of comfortable nooks and crannies for a quiet pre dinner drink. Our meal in the elegant restaurant was delightful with attentive, friendly and knowledgeable service, along with a relaxed ambiance. I would describe the menu as modern British with plenty of choice and Amina was responsive to our dietary requirements by offering a menu which listed all allergens. Our food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. It was evident that the chef and his team were proud of their cooking. We are blessed with plenty of good pub restaurants in the area but The Nest offers something different, a stylish but relaxed high end location where you can spend a very enjoyable evening. You will not be disappointed

Having just reopened (October 2024) after a significant refit this is now a really cozy boutique hotel in the middle of the town. There are wonderfully peaceful nooks around a very chic bar where you can sit by a fire and enjoy just about any cocktail or tea your heart desires. We also enjoyed a great meal in the restaurant where the menu will appeal to anyone and the staff are welcoming and attentive. We stayed in a sumptuous room with just about any amenity you could want including the obligatory slippers and bathrobe.
