The Feathers Hotel

We took advantage of their B&B Blenheim package and stayed two nights in the attic suite. On arrival we received a very warm, hospitable welcome and it already felt like a 5 star experience. The hotel has been fully renovated and the attention to detail is second to none, and easily up there with the cleanest hotels we've stayed in. The attic suite was very spacious and had everything you needed, to include a fridge with complimentary drinks, a pleasant welcome note, a bowl of fresh fruit, some homemade cake and a very comfortable bed. Also worth a mention is the room included very efficient air conditioning (that came in handy during this hot spell). We dined at the Nest restaurant on one evening, the service and food quality was top draw, certainly worthy of the 2 AA rosettes. The outside space (the Aviary and terrace) was so relaxing and comfortable and with a Pizzeria for the lighter bites. The location in the market square is perfect, multiple lovely shops and pubs, and you can walk to Blenheim gates in 10 mins ! Overall, excellent value for money and I would recommend this hotel.

Fabulous stay at The Feathers hotel! Every aspect of this boutique hotel is 5 star. We stayed in the Attic suite, the room was beautiful with a super comfy bed, gorgeous bathroom with robes, slippers and quality toiletries. The room had a pod coffee machine, biscuits and homemade cake together with complementary drinks and chocolate in the minibar. It was my husbands birthday, he was treated to a bottle of prosecco and bowl of fresh fruit which was a lovely touch. The lounge, bar and restaurant areas are beautifully decorated. The Aviary and new terrace is a lovely space to enjoy a pre dinner drink, breakfast is served in here too. The breakfast was delicious, lots of choice, beautifully presented and top quality. All the staff are friendly and very welcoming, a special shout out to Gemma the front office manager who was very helpful. We just couldn't fault our stay at The Feathers. Woodstock is a lovely town and the fact that the Blenheim estate is a 5 minute walk from the hotel is a bonus. We can highly recommend The Feathers and will definitely return. This hotel has recently been refurbished at what is obviously considerable expense. If you are visiting Blenheim Palace, it is an ideal place to stay, in the heart of this delightful village. The room was extremely comfortable - the bed so much so, that I would have stayed in it until I was forced to leave. Unfortunately, I had to get away early. But breakfast was expedited for me, and the food quality was first rate, even the tea did not need crutches to get out of the pot! Above all, all the small things which ought to work in luxury hotels like this worked first time and were easily navigable, even by a technophobe like me. Definitely the place to stay, if you are visiting Woodstock or Blenheim Palace (unless, of course, you get an invitation to the palace itself, which I imagine would give the hotel a run for its money). Our second visit to ‘The Feathers’ in less than a month, we had another fabulous stay, the standards in the hotel are exceptional, beautiful rooms, a very comfy bar area and excellent restaurant with ‘The Nest’, the food, wine & service are a delight, I can highly recommend ‘The Feathers’ & with the lovely Woodstock, Blenheim Palace on the doorstep & Oxford 15 minutes away by car what’s not to like.

The most amazing hotel and restaurant that I have ever stayed in. The food was incredible and the accommodation was devine, we stayed in a suite that was huge and decorated to the highest standards, with everything your heart desired, from cake to snacks and we decided to have breakfast in our room as we didn’t want to leave it for a second, we can’t wait to go back again soon. The staff were also incredibly helpful and happy to serve you and chat about the renovations. Five stars all day long, thank you Andy and team for the best stay x

The Feathers Hotel has recently undergone extensive renovation and we thought we would like to try their restaurant The Nest. The stylish Aviary bar was a pleasure, with an extensive cocktail and wine list and offered lots of comfortable nooks and crannies for a quiet pre dinner drink. Our meal in the elegant restaurant was delightful with attentive, friendly and knowledgeable service, along with a relaxed ambiance. I would describe the menu as modern British with plenty of choice and Amina was responsive to our dietary requirements by offering a menu which listed all allergens. Our food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. It was evident that the chef and his team were proud of their cooking. We are blessed with plenty of good pub restaurants in the area but The Nest offers something different, a stylish but relaxed high end location where you can spend a very enjoyable evening. You will not be disappointed
