Not stayed here but pass it everyday. I had to visit the website to see if it was actually still open as it looks so uncared for from the outside. Almost looks derelict as the grounds have been neglected. Such a shame. First impressions are important.

Marsh Farm hotel was totally unacceptable on Mon Jun 30 2025. The first room was roasting hot and the only ventilation was a door or window which both opened right onto a hot and busy road. There was no way we were going to sleep and I have acute asthma. The only next room we were offered had a leaking toilet. We refused this room also. We are requesting a full refund please, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for consumer contracts for breach of contract, as we were forced to go and find another hotel.

Absolutely the worst place I have been to poor service, paid for breakfast ended going elsewhere close by as the choice was substandard My friend had to ask for toilet rolls as the cleaner was hopeless not worth the money room for 2 was closterphoebic Needs closing until they have decent staff and improve the place avoid this and go elsewhere

ABYSMAL....DONT BOOK A ROOM HERE! Pity I can't give zero stars! When we arrived we were surprised to see the gardens in such a mess, reception said the gardener was on holiday (for 5 years as a guess). The building is very tatty with varnish & paint flaking off of every door & window frame. The comunial areas are very tired along with the room we had...wallpaper & paint peeling off of all surfaces, carpets & bathroom flooring old, broken, faded & ripped in numerous places. Toilet has obviously been broken & fitted back to the wall at such an angle you had to sit on it sideways. Jacuzzi bath has no controls, water pressure from the shower was abysmal. Central heating on full blast all night despite the outside temperature being 27 degrees (the hottest day of the year). 24 hour reception not manned overnight'& nobody answers the emergency phone. We didn't even attempt breakfast...if what we could see was so bad I can imagine the state of the kitchen which can't be seen! It looks like the place has been bought cheap ready to knock down for housing. The photos online are probably at least 10 years old! WHAT A DUMP!

We booked in at reception early evening and the lady on reception gave us all the relevant information. Breakfast we were told would be between 8 and 10. The room was basic, clean but with a strange odor. There is no soundproofing ANYWHERE! The constant banging of the outer door, the banging from above, the noise from people outside the window was bad. The bed was comfy. After not alot of sleep we went for breakfast.... no food except a couple of pastries in plastic wrapping. A few yogurts and some juice. We sat expecting someone to come and take our order as we had paid extra for the breakfast, but no one was around. My husband went to reception to be told that last week there had been an incident so there would be no breakfast. Would have been nice to be told that the previous night. More like the chef hadn't turned up and they came up with some lame lie. We checked out, save your money and go elsewhere!!!!

When we arrived, no-one on reception just a mobile number to call. Eventually, someone appeared, but in the meantime, a gentleman guest appeared in a panic, we let him go before us he had just flushed the toilet and it had flooded his hotel room, we should of guessed then what a disaster this was going to be ! We were handed a key and that was it. Our room had a musty smell, bathroom filthy, apparently we had a refurbished room, can't imagine what the others were like. Thankfully, bed comfortable and clean bed linen. Breakfast was literally toast, marmalade, jam, and cereal in open packets, the juice had a fly floating around in it. Nobody around to complain to.
