It was truly an unforgettable and memorable journey. The lady in charge was very responsible and enthusiastic. She upgraded the room for free (it happened to be the Dragon Boat Festival) and took us to experience making rice dumplings, tasting tea, and told us about the past of the small city of Wuyuan, allowing us to slowly relax from the hustle and bustle of life and quietly listen to the whispers of the ancient village of Huizhou.
The homestay was converted from an old house with basically no major changes, preserving the ancient charm of the house and the tension unique to that era. The moment you step through the door, the heavy sense of history hits you in the face, the rain falls in through the patio, and when you look up you see the sky at the same place at different times. The surrounding darkness formed a sharp contrast with the pouring light, and I seemed to truly feel the oppression of that feudal era. It is not the dull words in textbooks, nor the sharpened images in film and television dramas, but real history. In the room, listening to the sound of raindrops hitting the tiles and the sound of rainwater flowing along the grooves into a stream, I had a different experience, a memory like an ink painting.
At first, I saw that everyone had good reviews, so I almost blindly selected the B&B. In fact, the location of this hotel is very suitable for a resting point during a day trip to Wuyuan Village. The first floor of the B&B is quite cozy, and you can order wine and coffee. The room I booked was not cheap, but it didn't feel like a great value.
1. The suite you booked is on the fourth floor. There is no elevator, but the boss will help you carry your luggage upstairs.
2. The Ctrip platform said there was welcome fruit, but the boss said there was no such thing and it was required by the platform.
3. Because the room has a wooden floor with tatami mats, you cannot bring takeaway food in, you can only eat downstairs.
4. Breakfast: Because we traveled at 5:30, it was too early and there was no breakfast. We discussed with the boss one night in advance: refund the breakfast money or get something to fill our stomachs. The last thing we discussed was to refund the breakfast money.
5. There is a heater in the bathroom, which is more comfortable, but I am not sure if the bathroom glass has a privacy film? Finally, I took a bath towel and clamped it on the glass.
6. Because the B&B is in a village, small bugs may run in, so the screen windows are always closed. When I checked in, I saw a big fly. It buzzed around people when I slept at night and was very noisy.
This time I came to Wuyuan to play, I chose Xiaoqi Lanyue Hotel on Ctrip. The hotel is at the entrance of Xiaxiaoqi Scenic Area. It is very convenient for guests to come in and out, especially in front of a big stage outside. There is a large parking lot. For self-driving tourists like me People are very convenient. Great location, easy to find. The hotel is a simple Huizhou-style architectural design, elegant in style and full of humanistic atmosphere. Once you enter the lobby, the Four Treasures of the Study and the calligraphy on the wall are worth slowing down to taste. manager bei special
Well, as soon as we check in, we will be upgraded to the best room, and Xiaoyue is my favorite. The names of each guest room in their house are also full of poetic and picturesque. The hotel and the guest rooms are very clean and tidy. The toiletries used in the guest rooms are Herborist brand. I was also given a hand-painted teacup. I like it. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is very old-fashioned, clean and hygienic. I ate at their house for two days after staying in the hotel. The cook in their house cooks the food very deliciously. She will arrange different specialties and pastries for each meal according to the guests' preferences. . You must give us a big thumbs up for making our stay very comfortable and happy!!

I found a truly 'living' B&B in Wuyuan – 'Zai Shanye'. Originally an old power station from the 70s and 80s, it spans about 15 mu (approximately 2.5 acres).
Its design is far from over-the-top, featuring expansive white walls with ample blank space and warm, natural wood. Like a clean canvas, it fully cedes the spotlight to the mountains, trees, clouds, and wind outside the windows, truly embodying the philosophy of 'letting trees be trees, and mountains be mountains.'
The pure white minimalist architecture is as pristine as clouds in the mountains. It naturally acts as a reflector, making photos absolutely stunning! My phone kept clicking away, haha! The rooms are decorated in a Japanese style with warm-toned wooden furniture, making them incredibly cozy. Lying on the sofa, watching a movie, and gazing at the clouds drifting by outside the window – this moment truly feels unbelievably blissful!
But! It’s far from being a 'coldly minimalist' space!
There's also a wealth of dining and entertainment options!
**Lazy Afternoon Tea Time:** Enjoy freshly ground coffee, creative special blends, and exquisite teas, along with fried chicken, fries, pizza, and other snacks. Daydreaming while facing the mountain view is incredibly therapeutic!
**Tipsy Moments in the Mountains:** Savor a drink with fried snacks, accompanied by mountain breezes and the chirping of insects. Chatting about life with the girls, it’s unbelievably pleasant!
**Camping BBQ Box:** No need to prepare anything yourself; just grab it and head to the lawn or terrace to start a mountain BBQ party!
**Authentic Local Dinners:** A must-try for Wuyuan's specialty dishes! Ingredients are super fresh: free-range chickens raised on-site, vegetables picked fresh from their garden. You can truly taste the authentic flavors! Highly recommend the 'Fish Head Stew with White Tofu Soup' – the taste is incredibly, incredibly delicious and rich in umami.
**Evenings are far from boring:**
**7:30 PM: Bonfire + Outdoor Movie!** Gathering around the bonfire to watch a movie under the starry sky – romance levels off the charts!
**Billiards Challenge:** Have a friendly match with friends.
Sitting around the crackling bonfire, with the starry sky as your ceiling, watching an old movie – what an absolutely magical night!
**My personal thoughts:**
Staying here feels like living inside a dynamic landscape painting. Perhaps just sitting, listening to the mountain breeze, and watching the stars is beautiful enough. It offers the rustic charm of the wilderness, combined with the convenience and warmth of modern living. Here, nature truly is the eternal protagonist. Enjoying the tranquility of the mountains during the day, bonfire movies at night. My eyes feasted on the scenery, and my palate and spirit were utterly satisfied.
If you also want to escape the urban hustle and bustle and truly connect with nature; if you love minimalist aesthetics and Japanese Wabi-sabi style, and want to take a set of clean, high-end photos that blend seamlessly with the wilderness; if you want to relax and unwind but don't want to miss out on good food and fun – then don't miss Mingxun Bieyuan · Zai Shanye B&B.
This is a store that I don't want to leave. It's clean, the butler in the lobby is very welcoming, and the store upgraded the room for free. And the food cooked in the store is delicious😋We actually ate all of it, even the pickles for breakfast were delicious. The environment is very good, there are even little squirrels 🐿️The details are very good, the tableware are all hand-painted, I really don’t want to leave, I want to stay a few more days.
this place is even more wonderful than what is advertised. a truly whimsical hidden gem, and one of the most wonderful hotel experiences i have ever encountered. a little piece of heaven tucked away among the wuyuan countryside. from the moment we stepped onto property, we were welcomed and made to feel so at home, our every need and request was granted by the kind and friendly staff members who went above and beyond to make our experience special. the rooms, and the grounds are beautifully up-kept, every attention to detail is exquisite and effortlessly transports you to a peaceful state of mind. i can’t recommend this beautiful place highly enough. we truly hope we will have the chance to come back again someday. 🤍
Not bad! The homestay is considered to be a medium distance! It is not very convenient to pass! You have to walk a long way in the scenic area to get there! The environment is OK,
The sanitary conditions are also good, the air conditioner doesn't work
From the meticulous communication before arrival, to the warm heart farewell when leaving the store, the whole process is as intimate as family. The room environment is super beautiful and comfortable. The overall feeling of accommodation is too good.
The innkeeper is very good, the food is affordable, the people are very enthusiastic, and he also helped to call a car to Huangling. I still want to find a way to take a taxi. The driver is very bad and forced us to get off the bus and pay for it before sending it to Huangling! We took the child and walked a long way, and looked at the people of Wuyuan! First time I met such a bad driver.
Located in Xiaoqi Village, very close to Shangtan Village. It will be there soon after getting off the highway. The boss is very enthusiastic, the surrounding environment is good, and the mountains and rivers are very comfortable. Suitable for self-driving, the parking lot at the door is very large and convenient.

GGuest UserMore than 100 holidays are really cost-effective, the boss is also very good, borrow our battery car to go to the nearby village, the aunt has been letting us ride slowly to pay attention to safety 😂
The balcony view of the view room is really beautiful, but I don't know why no one mentioned this in the comments. p1's balcony view, p2 is the balcony view of the Sanqingshan Hilton Mountain View Room, personally feel that p1 hangs p2.
The hotel is not demanding, I want a clean place to sleep strongly Amway stays here, and I have a taste of the carp tofu soup, very delicious, only 48 😋
In front of the homestay is the crystal clear stream of the Xingjiang River, with bamboo rafts, and there are ancient banyan trees and ancient steps nearby. The photos are very good. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious. The boss service is very warm. He sent us to the ancient village above. The folk customs are simple. I will stay at this one next time.
GGuest UserThe owner and his wife of Longxuzhai are hospitable, the room is spacious and bright, and the location is moderate. It is not far from Jiangling, Jiangwan, Xiaoqi and other villages. High character ratio. like.
AAnonymous UserIt is raining heavily, but it does not affect the scenery here, it is really super! The room is not small, the disposable bath towel is very intimate, take a bath and rest. Open the curtains and look out. The mountains in the distance are rolling, shadows are about, clouds and mist are like a fairyland on earth. Have the opportunity to come, hahaha
GGuest UserThe boss is very enthusiastic and shared with me how to go to the original ecological countryside!
The room facilities are simple, but very clean, there is a small stream outside the window, and there is a little feeling of a small bridge and flowing water!
