"Hotel had an absolutely amazing view of the bell tower from our room. The twin room had the best view so we opted for that instead of our usual Kingbed. We were celebrating wife's birthday so staff had kindly put baloons and petals on the bed. Laundry area is available for self service. Complimentary cold water bottles available in reception as soon as you walk in which is great during the summer heatwave. We are muslim so had a small selection of food options for breakfast but was enough to start our day. The only let down was that our bedsheets were not changed during our 3 night stay. Housekeeping tidied up and emptied the bins, replaced towels etc but would have been great if the sheets were also changed out (nights can get hot in China fresh bedsheets are always appreciated!)"

"Hotel room was a quiet oasis from the chaotic city. The room was very comfortable and a good size. The toilet and shower were separate and so was the sink. The aircon did it awhile ago to cool the room, but apart from that it was good. The lift up to the rooms was a goods lift as the current lift was being renovated- again didn’t affect the stay much. Dress up clothes available. Some common room to have food & drinks or read. Overall we would recommend this stay and happily stay here again if we were to return. A few things could have been improved but for the price & location, it was quite decent. Just a 10 mins walk from the subway station."

"This was my fourth and unfortunately the worst price-value hotel I stayed in China. Overall, the place felt like a Western tourist scam. The staff did speak decent English, but if you do some effort and stay in other Chinese hotel chains, the experience would be better. The amenities are very used up and not well maintained. The room was dusty, and the shower drainage was damaged. This is not something I would expect in a five-star hotel. Breakfast was fine, location was good, the room was quiet, but very dark and I just had one small window, so there was very little natural light."

"I really like this hotel. I am sorry i dont have photos of the room but it is exactly as on the pictures when you book it. The staff was really friendly and speak a little bit english. The room itself was really big for me as a solo traveller and a good price. It felt really clean which was good. The shower works very good and i wished i have one back at home lol. Normal airconditioner that worked well aswell."

"The customer service was excellent. Staff are polite. Room was clean but you need to put the make up room sign on for them to come tidy up. But they only made the bed, took the rubbish and replaced towels. They did not vacuum and assume they didn’t change the linen which is fine but hopefully they change it for the next one."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel Bell Tower Xi’an. The highlight of our experience was the exceptional service from the staff, who were always warm, friendly, and helpful. A special mention goes to the concierge (we didn’t get his name)who went above and beyond by waiting with us until our Didi arrived to make sure we got into the correct car. That thoughtful gesture made us feel safe and well taken care of. The family room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing plenty of room for our family. We also appreciated the complimentary self-service washer and dryer, which was incredibly convenient during our trip. Another lovely touch was the complimentary afternoon tea, which was a nice way to relax after a day of sightseeing. Overall, this hotel offers excellent service, comfortable accommodation, and thoughtful amenities in a great location. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Xi’an."

"We were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who were eager to make us feel at home in the hotel. Upon checking in, they offered us a delightful selection of two different types of flower tea. As we checked out, they kindly requested our feedback and even gifted us a thoughtful pack containing a pack of nuts, a pack of wet tissues, and an eye steam mask! They even went above and beyond to assist us when we inquired about weighing our luggage, ensuring we didn’t exceed the weight limit. Their helpfulness was truly appreciated. Regarding the location, the hotel is conveniently situated near the South Gate of the City Wall. However, it’s a bit of a distance from the metro station. The metro exit B is a staircase, which posed a challenge for us as we carried our luggage. We had to find alternative exits to reach the hotel. Since all the station’s escalators go up, we faced another issue when we wanted to take the metro to the airport. The exit D2, which has a lift, is quite a distance away. These inconveniences would not have been an issue if we didn’t have heavy luggage like we did. Despite these minor setbacks, this hotel remains an excellent choice for a comfortable stay if you want to visit places of interest near the South Gate."

"We loved our stay especially for the price. This place is what we call a hostelle. It has all the hostel vibes but is immaculate like a hotel. Room was clean and fresh towels every day. Free water throughout, good wifi, great shower and toiletries. Movies on the tv in English, social atmosphere and a great location. And an added bonus free access to laundry and dryer! Lots of local food just outside and a metro 5 min walk. Only down side for us was the mattress was to hard but that is personal preference."
