MMickey VentiThe hotel is exquisite. We were upgraded to a room with a view to the old city and it was just perfect. The room is very clean and it has a charm of its own. The room and the beds are very big and tastefully decorated. You are in walking distance from everything, but it is also very quiet. The lady at the reception was very helpful and very nice. 100% recommended!

GGuest UserVery satisfied 👍 A very nice inn with a great location. The river view room is right next to the Phoenix Scenic Area, very convenient! You can see the Phoenix performance in the room. The folk proprietress is also very nice and enthusiastic. She even reminded us at night that if we are tired of visiting the ancient city, we can contact her to arrange someone to pick us up. I like their service very much. If we have questions or don’t understand, we can consult the housekeeper. They also patiently explain and analyze to us. It is very comfortable to get along with them. It is very suitable for bringing family and children out to escape the summer heat. Next time I come to Fenghuang, I will continue to choose this place

GGuest UserWe stayed at a highly rated hotel we found on Ctrip, just a few minutes’ walk from the ancient town. The shuttle bus stop was right at the hotel entrance, which was super convenient. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming, and we even had butler service—the butler was really friendly and polite. Check-in was quick and easy.
The hotel had everything we needed, like foot massages, a gym, a supermarket, and plenty of parking. The housekeeping staff on our floor were very polite and helpful. Our room was big, clean, and cozy, with super comfy bedding—perfect for relaxing after a long day.
The area around the hotel was great, with lots of places to eat and shop. It was only a short walk to the ancient town and Hongqiao Bridge. The walk there was lovely, and the night views were amazing. The whole vibe of the place was so charming we didn’t want to leave.
When we checked out, the butler even gave us a little local gift, which was such a nice surprise. The staff really went above and beyond to make us feel special. The people in Fenghuang are so kind and genuine. We’ll definitely come back with friends next time.

Staff incredibly helpful.
Lots of stairs everywhere in and around main attractions so might not suit everyone, but if it's not a problem for you then staying here is a bit like living in a dream come true.
Fenghuang's historic Tower is 50 metres away, and boat rides are a minute further along.
Countless authentic restaurants are within 5-10 minutes away and my favourite Luckin Coffee shop was a minute along from the Rainbow Bridge.
There's a vibrant night life so music from many bands blares across the river from 7pm to 11pm. I was so worn out from days of exploring that I never noticed and fell asleep quickly on the room's massive and comfortable king sized bed.
I experienced near perfect weather over 2.5 days and can say that Fenghuang was a much better overall experience than either Lijiang or Dali's very popular ancient towns.

PPaowoahTraveled in December, it was nice for us as there wasn’t a lot of people. Really easy to communicate with them through Wechat. They got us a car for train station pick up and drop off. Upon arriving, someone came out to get us. It’s a flight of stairs down first (they offer to help with luggage) but would say to pack light because we were struggling. It’s a couple minutes walk to the place, I believe they have two, so depends which one they bring you to?
We got the connecting rooms via balcony. It was nice because it was two rooms and each room had its own bathroom. We were able to see the water bridge (I believe) right outside the balcony which was nice. Good thing we were just on the first floor so with our luggages, stairs wasn’t too bad. Since it was not peak season, even with the bar nearby, it was not too loud for us at night. There’s some restaurants and photoshoot shops nearby as well. We did the photoshoot store right next to this stay and it was just ok for reference, feel like you can get cheaper elsewhere.
Everything was pretty clean but there were some issues. Since it was December, it was cold. And when we first arrived, there was no hot water (just all freezing cold water). They said water heater was just cleaned or something when I asked. They said hot water should be back at night but our water when we showered wasn’t too promising. And then the heater was barely warming up the room so we were basically freezing. We took out all our jackets and all and we were still cold. Our room door to the balcony window was also broken which I was frustrated at first since it was cold, no hot water, heater not working, cold air blowing in. They eventually fixed it and I did appreciate the lady giving us portable heaters for the room to use.
Overall, I think it’s not a bad place.

Owners really friendly and offered free drop 9ff and pick up to the valley.
Lots of restaurants and a few shops within a couple of minute's walk.
Would definitely recommend.

They also has a newly operated stir fry food stall offering local dishes and breakfast by owner's mom, wood fire cooking.

PPanda 196!Hotel is very clean, modern , quiet with elevator. Hotels along river are more noisy, and you need to drag luggage through steps and cobble stone lanes (no cars allowed in ancient town tourism zone). 15 min walk to river areas. Chinese breakfast only. Complimentary pick up from high-speed rail station and welcoming fresh fruits on arrival. Lots of eateries nearby and along the river (with sides).
You need to call (message thru WeChat) in advance to book arrival pick up. Pick up is at an underground level of the train station. From train station to hotel is about 20 mins.
Owner also provided free transfer back to train station, a real bonus! Chinese breakfast only. No or limited english. Great Value!

UUreshiHi from Malaysia, everything is as describe in the details of booking. The room is pretty and the view is what was expected. Im attached here view from our room.
In order to enter the furong town, you have to buy ticket. But the hotel help us by taking us to the ticket counter nearby entry of furong town. The hotel also provides free pick up service. They pick up us at furongzhen station and drop us directly at the hotel. So there was no issue of finding the exact location of the hotel. But for all of this, make sure to we chat them earlier from your booking date and tell them your request. They will also drop you back to the train station after check out.
During winter, the heater is functioning well. The room is perfect for short escape to the furong town. You can rest well if you book this hotel coz basically all attraction is walking distance.
But for my personal view, if you went to furong town for the waterfall view, you dont need to book hotel like this, coz everywhere in the city is photo spot and pretty. You can just make it quick day trip.

FFar Off & OutThe hotel was in a great location. You can see the entire waterfall and city from your room.
There were only two main things that concerned us. The first was the smell. The hotel is located on top of a restaurant; therefore, you would often smell food in the room and in the halls. We did not quite enjoy the smell. The second is the cleanliness. Brooms and trash bags were left in the hallway as the cleaner cleaned the hotel. It felt quite unclean. The view on the side of the room/ hotel was also all trash. In the pictures, it looked like mountains or trees.
For foreigners, please check whether your room had sitting or squatting toilets. We had squatting toilets, but the photos did not show it.
