Exceeded expectation, the staff were brilliant, room was sparsely furnished, but very clean. Excellent bathroom too. The bed was very comfortable (I have back trouble, so that is a big thing for me). Breakfast was excellent. Downsides - not many. The TV in the room was very small, a bit mean for an expensive room. The furnishings and fittings were rather worn. Fully recommend anyone to stay at the hotel.

I arranged for our motoring club of 20 to stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect. The rooms in the new section were very nice. The breakfast cooked to order is one of the best we've ever had and the dinners provided by the hotel were exceptional. All the staff were friendly efficient and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. There's always a risk booking a stay for 20 people but this one was perfect.

Stayed 2 nights at end May while attending friends wedding. Although our room was not suitable to start another was soon found. Our evening meal was lovely as was breakfast. Wedding reception held in hotel was amazing and beautifully styled. The best thing about staying was Dylan who was absolutely wonderful and could not have done more. He is a real treasure.

Bit of a hidden gem. The staff were all incredibly helpful, the bed was very comfortable (I have an issue with my back). Breakfast service great, food excellent. Very nice place to stay. I would comment that while it was amazingly clean, the fixtures and fittings were a bit tired. Don't let that put you off staying though.

We have just held our wedding at Lanes Hotel ,it was superb from start to finish,Dylan and his team worked tirelessly to make our day very special,This they did ,the food and accommodation was excellent,and I would have no hesitation in recommending them ,a First Class Day was had by all .Thank You. The restaurant was understandably very busy however service and food standard didn't suffer, we all thoroughly enjoyed the set menu and it reflected extremely good value for money and was very well presented. The wone list was good and we shared a bottle of rose before heading out to the garden to enjoy a bottle of Champagne. A really nice afternoon on what i'm sure was a very hectic day for all the staff involved!

We were joined last Saturday evening by a group of friends to see the Frank Sinatra tribute night. We've been a few times before, and the food has always been impeccable. But sadly, not on this occasion, two of our group had the corn dogs to start, and to be honest, they were of poor quality and more like a main course, it was like a large canoe sat on the plate, too much for a starter. The other food disaster was the Jambalaya, I really don't know where to begin with this awful dish that was overcooked and supposedly should have come with prawns and chorizo, I didn't have a single prawn and the chorizo made a very brief appearance in the form of two small pieces, the whole thing was an overcooked stodgy mess and not worth the money that we paid. It was absolutely shocking! On a lighter note, the music was fantastic, I hope they didn't give the poor chap a plateful of Jambalaya after he had finished. Lanes, the paying public deserves better!
