Tusi Xuanfu (Furong Town Waterfall Store)

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the waterfall. Has the perfect location for exploring Furong Town without being in the centre of the nightlife. The staff is very friendly, helpful and efficient. Breakfast and dinner was also very good. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

Stayed in a 2 double besd river view room for one night. Staff at the homestay are informative and helpful. Helped arranged pick up and drop off from train station at reasonable price. Room is clean but a bit disappointing with the towels provided. Looks old, overly used and thin. The room soundproof was not great. Our room was same level as the lobby and street and just next to the stairways that leads to other rooms from the lobby. Can hear other staffs and guests walking up and down early in the morning. Read reviews of many old homestays in furong with view of waterfall that the room will smell of sewage but at Tusi Xuanfu it was good. No sewerage smell. Only complain is that can smell other people smoking outside from our room and the water pressure in the shower was very weak. The free chinese tea set while enjoying the view of the waterfall was bonus. The breakfast was simple, just noodle soup, mantou and instant coffee. Noodle soup tastes nice especially for a tourist like me. Would conclude that the price of the room I stayed is expensive compared to the quality of the room. The view from the courtyard is GREAT, just not from the room because the room only has view of the platform, and river but not the waterfall.

Great location of the waterfall from the courtyard. Rooms are traditional with beautiful wood carvings. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Furong is a relatively small town and this hotel is like 3 minutes walk from the entrance where taxis will drop off and pick up. Some important things to clarify that I was confused about: - Most of the water facing balcony rooms don't have a full view of the waterfall. HOWEVER, from their back patio, there is a full view (see my pic) if you want a good spot to take pictures. - The owner can help arrange rides to and from the train station. It was 20 rmb each way for me. They will also meet you or take you and your luggage to the entrance of the village. As a foreigner, I added them on WeChat and messaged them using translated messages to coordinate. I don't think there is Didi in the area so I recommend this route. - Breakfast consists of noodles and an egg if want (traditional Hunan breakfast), and some plain bread. They also had some sticky rice dessert thing in a steamer. You could drink hot water, instant coffee, or milk. - I know others complained about the rooms being old or not clean, but for what it was, it was fine by me given you're staying in an old village. - I would recommend staying here again if you're checking out Furong for 24 hours.

Expect to stay in a inn instead of a hotel as it’s located in an old traditional house. The plug points and tv is spoiled. The fixtures are old and worn out. The only good thing is the location and the view you get for the waterfall.

Very perfectly located in Furong. Friendly and attentive staff. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
