Hotel is relatively new so it looks clean, but small details like the carpet in the corridors leading to rooms being embedded with dirt/debris is visible. Service staff is friendly, efficient, helpful, and give off a lovely vibe! The view is as promised, you can see the Yulong Snow Mountains comfortably from the bed, and watch both sunrise and sunset (stayed during summer). They also serve an excellent afternoon tea with freshly ground local coffee beans which was delicious.
Downsides:
- Window is non-tinted so we legit got suntanned just for opening the curtains.
- Not particularly friendly for toddlers.
- There seems to be nonsmoking rooms but they allow smoking and there are ashtrays in the bins of the common corridor, even outside people's rooms.
- Room is incredibly small and full of sharp corners at toddler height.
- There is limited counter top space and space to open luggage... Never felt claustrophobic before until staying in this small room with a toddler.
If travelling solo/as a backpacker, this place is a top tier stay as it is close to many things in Lijiang.
