The food and rooms are average, and while the service makes an effort, it falls short of expectations. The onsen area feels a bit outdated. It’s an acceptable option if you’re already in the area, but not worth making a special trip for.

竹泉莊是我住過的最棒的酒店。酒店建於山林之中，環境幽雅、温馨、舒適。酒店服務周全到位，在我們到達時，還專程派車出來迎接。 酒店的懷石料理晚餐和早餐更不用説，妥妥的五星酒店的級別。 私湯温泉在綿綿細雨中也別有韻味，酒店服務還貼心地送來雨傘。 如果不是趕時間，真想在竹泉莊好好呆幾天！

旅館のお正月を味わいたく、老齢の母と伺いました。
スタッフ皆様、白髪の紳士で行動全てがスマートで優しく、あたたかいおもてなしに感心致しました。お正月料理もとても華やかな演出で美味しくお料理の構成も器の使い方も素敵でした。穏やかで良いお正月を過ごせました。
