Rhulani Safari Lodge

Simply perfection. Amazing people, fantastic food, wonderful rooms, and phenomenal animal viewing. Nosa is a wonderful host and shout out to Michael for our evening and morning walks to keep us safe. The drives themselves though with Ralph are what makes the trip though. Ralph's got big personality and we loved it, kept us awake in the mornings and somehow managed to make each drive even better than the last. Saw the most incredible animals each day, lion cubs 3 different times, wild dogs twice, male lions, cheetah cubs, and then cheetahs with a fresh kill. All the amenities are really icing on the cake we honestly ate way too much food cuz it was all so good. The hidden gem though is definitely the watering hole. Could spend all day and night down there just watching and waiting for all manner of animal.

Once again we were for 6 nights in Rhulani safari lodge. It was one of our best holidays ever. As the the other stays we felt unwind from the moment we arrived until we had to leave. The lodge is truly wonderful, you have all the privacy you need plus a super super Hospitality. The staff is fabulous, warm - hearted, always helpful and super friendly. We felt very comfortable. The Game Drives with our Guide Alasdair were absolutely phantastic. We have not enough word to describe our Feelings. Every drive was sensational, the brain was overloaded with breathtaking impressions. We saw 3 different leopards, many lions with cubs, elephants,black and white rhinos, hyenas (brown and spotted), flying Kori Bustards and much more. One highlight was the special Dinner to my birthday. The employees and Manager Tom Hendrik organized a very special event. Thanks for this. I was emotionally deeply touched. THANKS!!! Also thanks to Mr. Steiner, owner of Rhulani for all his help and understanding for all our questions and wishes. We will definitly come back. And we can highly recommend these Lodge deep in the wonderful Bush of Madikwe. Thanks !

We had a fabulous four days at Rhulani! Madikwe is an underappreciated gem with a wonderful variety of habitats and great management (notably the restrictions on the number of vehicles at a sighting, beautifully managed by all the guides working as a team). We are veterans of many safaris in Eastern and Southern Africa, but we concluded that James was the best guide we had ever had---an inexhaustible source of knowledge and insight, ever-enthusiastic about sharing it, and always happy to bend over backwards to accommodate everyone's preferences. The staff at the Lodge were wonderful too, down to taking the time to teach us the "wedding dance" so that we wouldn't embarrass ourselves (too much) at our next stop. Thank you so much to all! We will return.
