Xijian·Fengting Hotel (Near Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Signature Gate)

We initially planned on staying in Zhangjiajie, but decided last minute to move closer to the entrance of the national park for a couple of nights and we are glad we did. It was super close to the national park and the glas bridge was also easily reachable. Foodspots are nearby. The hotelroom was nice and clean but the best part was the service of the people. Joan helped us a lot with our trip planning and also booked all of our tickets. We even got a discount through her. She spoke very good english, which made it much easier for us. Therefore I can highly recommend going to that hotel. The only downside for us was that there were no western outlets in our hotelroom. But we got adapters at the reception so at the end it was no problem.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our Zhangjiajie adventures. The hotel was exactly as described—spotlessly clean, stylishly modern, and Exactly as in the photos. The room was well-appointed, and the spacious and modern bathroom came with all the essentials. Hotel located in a very lively, respectful and very safe neighbourhood. Its location near the Zhangjiajie Forest park east gate was ideal, and when available, the hotel kindly arranged a complimentary shuttle to the East gate of the park entrance, which was a thoughtful touch. They also arranged a paid pickup and drop-off service from the station and airport, which ran smoothly and was very convenient which we paid separately to the transport provider. Breakfast was satisfying, with a decent variety to choose from. Thanks to the hotel’s prime location, we had countless dining options just a short walk away—perfect for exploring local flavours. But what truly sets this place apart is the team. The female manager (may be the owner) and the young front desk staff were incredibly warm, proactive, and genuinely passionate about helping guests. They went above and beyond to help us plan our park visit, even securing discounted tickets and guiding us to the most efficient walking routes. Their local insight completely transformed our experience—we changed our original plans based on their advice and were so grateful we did. From the moment we booked, communication via WeChat was fast and seamless. As first-time visitors with little local knowledge, we had plenty of questions, and they patiently and kindly answered every one. In short, this hotel offers more than just comfort—it delivers heartfelt hospitality. After long days of exploring, it was the perfect place to unwind. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We are a family of 4 from Singapore who stayed 3 nights at this hotel in Jun 2025. At the rate that we were charged, the facilities and service way exceeded those of the better rated hotels. This hotel was newly renovated only last year. The room was clean and spacious. There was automatic electronic bidet service and pleasant daily breakfast for us all. Service staff was friendly, helpful and approachable at all times. There is complementary laundry and dryer service available throughout the day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel also provided free car rides to the East Gate every morning, but it’s also close enough to walk there if preferred. It’s also very conveniently located along a stretch of good restaurants for meals. I will stay here again the next time i visit Zhangjiajie.

Well located, quite and well maintained. Staff is insanely helpful to plan your activities and help you book tickets for them. If you come back early they can help you by suggesting something else to do. Breakfast was chinese style but varied enough.
