Please kindly note that there is  language barrier of mandarin Chinese in Beijing Crosstalk Show.
Beijing is the birthplace and prosperous place of crosstalk art. Beijing's crosstalk performance has a long history and profound cultural heritage. It cleverly integrates language art, performance skills and folk culture. Through humorous dialogues, exaggerated and vivid body language, and rich and varied expressions, it vividly portrays various characters and tells the stories of family life and social life. In the fast-paced modern life, crosstalk, with its unique charm, brings laughter and relaxation to the audience, and has become the preferred choice for many people to relieve stress and entertainment. In the performances of Deyunshe Theater, Laoshe Teahouse and crosstalk clubs in Beijing, you can see that the older generation of crosstalk artists are still elegant. With their profound skills and rich experience, they interpret the classic pieces vividly; at the same time, there are also many young and promising crosstalk actors who have emerged. They innovatively integrate modern elements, inject new vitality into crosstalk art, and let traditional art shine with new brilliance. Therefore, whether it is local residents or tourists from afar, they will be attracted by the unique charm of Beijing's crosstalk performances and immersed in the laughter from the ancient capital.

Gui Jie (Ghost Street)

Many restaurants are open 24 hrs, but the street is at its most lively in the evenings. This mile-long food street features more than 150 restaurants and has been serving up late night noms since the Qing Dynasty. With its iconic red lanterns, it’s difficult to miss and provides a lively night market experience that won’t break the bank. The restaurants here serve specialties from all over China, with some of the most popular being crayfish, bullfrog, hotpot, and chuan chuan (spicy skewers in soup). Our tour guide bought us here. He said this is the place where locals comes for eats and drinks after dark, thus the name. The spicy small lobsters are very good. Remember to ask for the mild spice level. It is already extremely spicy for almost everybody in my opinion. The lobsters are to be ordered in quantities of 10. #beijingtrip #urbanexplorer #cityoverlook

Stey-Wangfujing

Stey-Wangfujing Is Beautiful modern design of the room! Has a small kitchen in the room, a fridge with free water and tea. Smart home system is something that was very nice to try out too! Comfy bed, fantastic smell of expensive perfume as soon as you enter the room, good toiletries (if you don’t have a toothbrush, you should tell the staff, they will eagerly provide it but originally you are required to bring your own). Excellent location, right next to the metro station - Dengshikou, literally 5 min walk. The staff is super friendly and helpful! Although it took us quite some time (an hour or more) to register and provide all the green codes since we were traveling still at a “vulnerable” time of covid. The common area is beyond any expectations. Free coffee (amazing one!!) and tea and soda and the space is exceptionally cozy and modern. They have a huge common kitchen with a fridge, an oven (and what not) so you can easily make yourself a yummy breakfast (or even dinner) there. We absolutely loved our stay!! #uniquehotel #templeblessed #eventcelebration #art #easylife #bestislandtraveltowns#themepark#nationalpark#lakes

Let me make the Spring Festival clear|Leisure Edition

Let me make the Spring Festival clear|Leisure Edition

After dinner, go to the open art space of the first floor FUN community to see the 'Dunhuang As It Is' art exhibition. The world cultural heritage-Dunhuang murals are famous for their large scale, exquisite craftsmanship, rich content, and wide range of themes. The 'Dunhuang As It Is' art exhibition here is like a miniature of Dunhuang murals, bringing the mysterious Mogao Caves into the hotel, which is breathtaking. The exhibition is divided into 'Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow' three sub-themes. The highlight is an immersive dark independent space with two murals and a niche, simulating the scene of ancient people watching paintings in the dark. During the 'Candle Watching Murals' session, thoughts are instantly brought into the ancient and mysterious Mogao Caves. Holding an electronic candle and walking, it seems to go back to a thousand years ago, immersive. The art exhibition has collected the classic collections of the Dunhuang Academy since its establishment in 1993, including clay and paper copies of murals, including the special caves of Mogao Caves and Yulin Caves and murals of caves not open to the public, showing various copying methods and mural temperament, presenting 1600 years of Dunhuang mural art in front of contemporary people. The prototype of the well-known 'Nine-Colored Deer' story, the copy of the 'Deer King's Life' on the west wall of Mogao Cave 257 is also included. The 'Today' part of the exhibition title shows the ancient and modern style on the Silk Road to the classic images in Dunhuang murals, paying tribute to the brilliance of a thousand years with contemporary visual language. Dunhuang today, as a popular tourist cultural city and the dazzling pearl of the Belt and Road, is once again focused on by the world. Here shows the incredible Dunhuang IP created series of Dunhuang images. The 'Tomorrow' part of the exhibition title is Dunhuang in the eyes of children and under their pens. In this exhibition area, dozens of excellent children's painting artworks are displayed through electronic painting screens, allowing people to see different perspectives and infinite possibilities of Dunhuang culture. The hotel and the Dunhuang Academy launched a joint afternoon tea at the same time, a two-foot tea tray, the combination of sweet and salty products, the micro landscape cleverly presents the sunset camel team in the flying sand, linking art and food, showing the creativity of contemporary Chinese and Western fusion, allowing more people to have the opportunity to experience and feel the charm of Dunhuang art. Friends who do not plan to travel far during the Spring Festival can bring their children and accompany their parents to come here, watch the exhibition, taste tea, eat, spend a day full of cultural heritage, and also have a different holiday feeling. The exhibition will last until February 29, 2024~

Ancient Wisdom

Ancient Wisdom

This time, the Vacheron Constantin exhibition held at Pudu Temple was by invitation only, so there were very few people. Watching the exhibition in the temple was very leisurely and comfortable, allowing one to spend the whole day there. I really learned a lot this time! I highly recommend everyone to visit museums when they have time. I must say, the wisdom of the ancients was truly unparalleled. The patterns on these porcelains and dragon robes are still very classic today and are often used as references in modern designs. These patterns are very beautiful and have profound meanings. Recommendation: The benefit of visiting museums is that you can learn from the past to understand the present. You can learn a lot of knowledge that you can't find in books and see how our ancestors lived thousands of years ago and what kind of times they experienced. Science Popularization: If you love watching Ming and Qing dynasty palace dramas, you will find that the 'Sea Water and Cliff Pattern' often appears on dragon robes! It also frequently appears on traditional crafts such as porcelain, lacquerware, and furniture. It is a traditional Chinese pattern, commonly known as 'Jiangya Haishui' or 'Haishui Jiangya'. At the bottom of the pattern, many curved lines are arranged diagonally, called 'water feet'. Above the water feet are many rolling waves, with a mountain rock standing in the water, and auspicious clouds embellishing it. It symbolizes 'Blessed Mountain and Longevity Sea' and also carries the meaning of unifying the country. The 'Sea Water and Cliff Pattern' varies in different periods. For example, in the early Ming Dynasty, it was a shell-shaped flat water pattern, in the late Ming Dynasty, it was a cloud pattern, and in the Kangxi period, it was a standing water pattern, etc.

I can't believe there's a place like this in Beijing!!!

I can't believe there's a place like this in Beijing!!!

The title is an exclamation I overheard from another guest. It's the perfect title and something I'm sure everyone who has been to Xitan will resonate with. I want to mention: The kindness expressed by those who love to stay at Xitan is not service-oriented, it's embodied in their demeanor. They're willing to listen, willing to talk. It's not a rigid Q&A, it's candid and natural. I look forward to the moment when the leaves fall and the mountains are sprinkled with sugar, I'll be back in winter~ Bored in the mountains? ■In the hotel: Gym → Pilates room → Swimming → Chanting room → Spa → Private theater → Tea room → Coffee room → Bar → Restaurant (all under the Xin Rong Ji brand, Chinese restaurant Rong Fu Yan, Western restaurant RB) ■Outside the hotel: Tanzhe Temple → Tan Valley Slow Flash Park → Tianmen Mountain → Miaofeng Mountain I don't believe anyone would be bored with this itinerary.

Playing the Forbidden City in a special forces style!

Playing the Forbidden City in a special forces style!

Stepping into the Forbidden City is like stepping into a huge historical museum, where every brick and tile carries a heavy history. Walking in it, one can't help but sigh at the wisdom and craftsmanship of the ancients. Although this time it was just a cursory glance, I have already been deeply attracted by the charm of the Forbidden City. Every corner has amazing cultural relics and historical sites, and every palace has its unique story and background. Next time I come, I will definitely taste every corner of the Forbidden City, listen to the stories in the explanation machine, and feel the wisdom and talent of the ancients. I think this will be a more memorable travel experience. Every moment in the Forbidden City makes me feel the precipitation of history and the charm of culture. I hope that in future travels, I can understand and feel more of these ancient cultures and histories, and let them become a part of my life.

Tianyu Villa, Zhoukoudian, Fangshan, Beijing!

Tianyu Villa, Zhoukoudian, Fangshan, Beijing!

There is a "German-style villa" hidden in a deep village in Fangshan!!!|||The villa is located in Zhoukoudian, Fangshan District, a suburb of Beijing. It is a large rural-style hotel for leisure and vacation, integrating dining, accommodation, entertainment, sports, and fitness. To the southwest of the villa: there is the incense-filled Yunju Temple; less than 10 km away, you can see the ever-changing stalactites of Yunshui Cave in Shangfang Mountain; the famous "Shidu Scenic Area" known as "Little Guilin" is only 15 km away; to the northeast: there are Shihuadong and Yingu Cave, natural limestone karst cave scenic spots with Fangshan characteristics. The eye-catching part of the villa is Berlin County, which is built according to the mountain terrain and consists of various villas with Nordic style and unique appearance. It presents an authentic small town in front of people, with fountains, pools, fish ponds, waterfalls, streams, apricot trees, bamboo forests, and squares in the garden, all of which are exquisite and unique; the interior decoration, from furniture to wine cabinet ornaments and oil paintings, makes people feel like they are in a Nordic country villa. In the tranquility, you can hear the chirping of birds and insects, the crowing of roosters, and the barking of dogs. You can pick wild fruits in the mountains in the forest and clouds, truly experiencing the embrace of nature and enjoying nature! Recommend a good place: Tianyu Villa

Yanqi resort 🏡

💁🏼‍♀️ If you are tired of crazy fast life of Beijing this place is a perfect choice. 📍 风车广场,Huairou district, Beijing city. 💰 I am not not sure about the price since I didn’t book. 🏃‍♀️ It also has a big field, you can take a walk or run or play. I saw children playing football. 🎢 No attractions nearby, no shops, very few restaurants. But it’s close to Yanqi river. You won’t be feeling bored but I think 2-3 days are enough. A well planned weekend is enough. 📸 @_ana_mee_ on Instagram #beijingtrip #huairou #chinalife #yanqi #summervacation

Beijing | Hualijiahe Hotel.

| Hualijiahe Hotel. Beijing | Hualijiahe Hotel Before returning to Tokyo, I went to Beijing and Changchun alone. To be honest, I really chose this hotel blindly, because I was in a hurry in Beijing, and I wanted to go shopping in the new field the next day, so I blindly chose a hotel that I could walk to. It was raining that day, and it was late when I checked in, and I just thought I had to go back to the hotel to sleep. After checking in, I found that the environment was unexpectedly good. I asked the staff to know that although it was completed two years ago, it was recently successfully put into use. The room is very clean and tidy, the whole house is smart, curtains, air conditioning and so on are very convenient to use, what you need to directly call the hotel staff, the response is also very timely. But long-haired sisters pay attention, bring your own conditioner! There is only shampoo and bath in the hotel.
