Universal Studios Japan - Osaka

📍2 Chome-1-33 Sakurajima, Konohana Ward, Osaka, 554-0031 USJ is my favorite theme park that I’ve ever been to. There’re usually many tourists so it’s better to get up early and get there before it opened at 9am. I got there earlier than 8:30.🎠 The most popular area gotta be THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER, 🧙‍♀️so I ran directly to it first or it may take a really long time to wait in the line. Everything in HP area is no doubt amazing, totally immersive. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is the most popular attraction in the whole park, and it’s an indoor roller coaster with ultra-realistic images. It’s so cool but a liiittle bit scary for a “chicken” like me. As I only spent no more than 30 minutes on waiting for HP and the Forbidden Journey, I have plenty time for all the rest of other attractions. Also as I don’t dare to ride the roller coaster and I was single rider, which means I could go through single ride channel to cut my waiting time, I basically went to every attractions I would like to go at 2-3 pm. I even rode The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man twice, lol. 🎭 Great place. Hope I can get the chance to visit there again.🤣 #japantravel #themeparks

Since the addition of the Mario area, Universal Studios Japan in Osaka has become even more popular 🔥 If you don't buy the Express Pass, you'll have to wait over an hour for most rides (I went in early January, and some rides had a wait time of 2-3 hours) 😵 If you have the budget, buying the Express Pass can save you a lot of time waiting in line (especially for popular rides) 🌟 Even without the Express Pass, I recommend using the single rider line, it really speeds things up! 🌟 But even if you can't go on many rides, Universal Studios is still a great place for photos 📸 There are many spots to take beautiful pictures 🥳 👉🏻 I recommend the photo spot at the Harry Potter area castle 😍 It's even more beautiful when you take a picture from across the lake! 🤩 The Minion area is also very cute, with decorations that make you feel like you're in the movie 🎬 Tip: Download the Universal Studios app in advance and log in your ticket as soon as you enter the park 📲 This way, you can immediately draw a pass to enter the Mario area! (First come, first served) I arrived at the park at 7:45 AM (the line was already very long) 💡 I suggest arriving early to line up, so you can head straight to the Mario area as soon as the gates open! 🌟 Opening and closing times vary by day, so be sure to check the park hours 🌟

Universal Studios - Japan!

#100WaysOfTravel #themeparks Our Japan itinerary included a visit for Universal. We’ve been to universal Orlando a dozen times, so was excited to see it in Asia. It cost around £40 for the tickets and hot on everyone’s list is getting in to Nintendo world. We arrived 1 hour before the park opened, to get a timed entry slot to Nintendo world. We logged in on the app and got a slot for 8:30am. The park was very busy! We went in July, it was very hot and humid. They have some old rides like Jaws, which used to be in the Orlando park, so it was a good throwback! Overall the day was good, long wait times, but that’s expected and some of the best rides where the Japanese animated ones. Would highly recommend a visit here!

A Day Out in Osaka

A Day Out in Osaka

I am totally in awe with this Tower built in 1912 then rebuilt in 1956 after it perished during a fire. Along the streets to this spot were restaurants, stores, cinemas and other premises with colorful lights and signages. It has been a prominent landmark in Shinsekai area. Most importantly, it is not only used a view point, but also houses other attractions as slide and Pocky exhibition. Head over to this place and come experience the slide. im sure u gonna love it.

Osaka Castle Vibes!, Japan

Osaka Castle (大阪城, Ōsakajō) is one of Japan’s most popular tourist attractions, with millions of people visiting the iconic landmark each year, particularly during cherry blossom season when there are special hanami parties and night illuminations. I’ve had the chance to visit both during sakura season and regular times of year, and will share some of my thoughts and tips for Osaka Castle in this post. Construction of Osaka Castle began in 1583 on the site where Ishiyama Honganji Temple had been destroyed. Toyotomi Hideyoshi intended for Osaka Castle to become the center of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule. Once completed, Osaka Castle was the largest castle in Japan. After Hideyoshi’s death, Osaka Castle was destroyed. It was subsequently rebuilt in the 1620s, only to be struck by lightning and burnt down in 1665. Today’s Osaka Castle is a reconstruction that was built in 1931, and it highly modernized on the inside. During our first experience with Osaka Castle, I was taken aback and even a bit disappointed by this. Having since visited Nijo Castle and Himeji Castle, I no longer feel that way. In fact, after visiting more preserved historical points of interest in Japan, I have a greater appreciation for the change of pace that Osaka Castle offers. If Osaka Castle were the only castle in Japan I visited on a once-in-a-lifetime trip, I’d probably be disappointed. Once you go inside, it loses the aura of authenticity, and feels like a reproduction. However, if you visit either Nijo or Himeji Castles (both of which are in this general region), Osaka Castle can be viewed as more of a complementary experience. What those castles lack in expository information and displays due to their more historical character, Osaka Castle makes up for. There’s a wealth of information on display in its multi-level galleries, and it offers some interesting insight into Japanese history. When viewed as a “hybrid museum” housed inside of beautiful architecture, I think it’s quite easy to have a very favorable opinion of Osaka Castle. #travelsnacks#travelinspiration#nyedestinations#unforgettableexperiences#awesomepic#historicculture#museumquest#culturalattractions#nationalpark

Universal Studios Japan at night

Take a moment to remember January of 2022, when Japan closed its borders and USJ wasn't that congested. Queues moved so quickly that if you wanted, you could ride every ride in a single day. It was an eventful period of time. Now that borders are open to tourists as well, I hope everyone would be able to visit and enjoy USJ. #throwback #japan
