The sound of crashing water combined with the sea breeze made for a peaceful atmosphere. The walk down to the falls involves navigating rocky terrain, so sturdy footwear is essential. I spent about an hour taking in the view and snapping photos. Vendors nearby sell snacks and drinks, adding to the convenience. It’s a quick yet memorable stop, ideal for those who appreciate natural beauty and unique landscapes."

The First 70 Hotel
#wheretogo A year ago we stayed in The First 70 Hotel in Seogwipo-si, Jeju Island. That turned out to be our nicest and biggest hotel room in the entire eight days in Jeju. The room was huge, and even had bath tub. The hotel also had a roof top garden that overlooks the ocean and a view of Halla San. The hotel has no pool but is within walking distance to Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market and has a convenience store located right below. Those who planned to drive, the hotel has only a few lots, but you can park at a designated parking lot near by the hotel.

The adorably named Nansanri Dabang has a neat wooden interior and was well-organized. We made a reservation and were able to enter immediately upon arrival. For brunch, we ordered the shrimp open sandwich and mushroom soup, and they were absolutely amazing. As soon as we dipped the bread into the mushroom soup, my boyfriend and I both widened our eyes in delight. Cheonjiyeon Falls and Jeongbang Waterfall are also nearby, and the natural beauty is within reach. When I walked into the room I booked, the thoughtful design and layout were eye-catching. The perfect combination of practicality and aesthetics, every detail shows the hotel's dedication. The deluxe suite I stayed in was very spacious and bright, and the magnificent mountain view was presented in front of me without reservation. When I opened the window, the fresh air hit my face, and the tranquility of Jeju Island instantly wrapped me up. The good ventilation kept the whole room comfortable at all times. The hotel's public areas are even more fun. The sauna room allowed me to completely relax after a day of playing, and the gym met my daily exercise needs. The children's activity room is full of children's laughter, and families traveling with children will definitely have a good time here. The infinity pool is simply the highlight of the hotel. The water temperature is just right, so even in slightly cooler weather, you can swim to your heart's content without feeling cold. When night falls, the entire resort is shrouded in lights, creating a romantic and mysterious atmosphere. The lights are reflected on the pool, sparkling, and extremely beautiful. Every moment here seems to slow down time, and I enjoy this relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle. The Siena Resort is definitely the best choice for a vacation on Jeju Island.

It stands on a cliff, overlooking the volcanic island coastline, offering breathtaking views. All rooms have balconies, providing stunning views of the blue sea or garden scenery, with a yellow color scheme and a luxurious wooden style, full of elegance. In terms of location, it is about a 1-hour drive from the airport, located in the southern part of Jeju Island, with few people, making it a perfect vacation destination. As a Marriott Titanium member, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a family suite upgrade. Although there are mostly Korean guests here, there are Chinese services available. The family experience is fantastic. The kids' club offers a variety of activities, and I booked half-day childcare for my daughter. The indoor and outdoor pools feature volcanic rock spring water, and the outdoor heated infinity pool is mesmerizing. The outdoor children's playground is well-equipped, and the children's suite in the family suite has bunk beds, cute pillows, a tent, a wardrobe, and a separate bathroom. The food is also exceptional. I tried all the restaurants except the Japanese one. Songaksan trekking is truly a dream journey for travelers who love sunsets and photography. As you climb the mountain at dusk and watch the sea and sky gradually turn red, you feel both calm and excited. When you reach the top of Songaksan, the view opens up to Gapa Island, Mara Island, and the Jeju coastline all at once, and the thought of capturing the changing light in that scenery fills you with excitement. The view of the sea beyond the crater is a unique scene that is hard to find elsewhere. The red sunset reflecting on the sea, and the light wrapping around the crater and coastal cliffs, is truly special. The sunset at Songaksan makes you forget the fatigue of the day and feel both the peace and awe that nature provides. Every moment you take a photo, the desire to capture that beauty grows, making you wish time would pass more slowly there.

This makes for a very nice family activity. It's quite well maintained. The aquarium itself has a decent variety of tanks. Definitely nowhere close to the big aquariums in Asia as some reviews try to allude to. Not all tanks were very well kept and there was misinformation on a few signs on where some of the fish are from, such as some South American fish (Oscar and others) informed as being from the Mekong River in Asia and some North American fish (alligator gar and sturgeon) as being from South American Region. #familytravel #aquarium #jeju
