"Stunning Weizhou Island, picturesque island scenery" - Weizhou Island,

"Stunning Weizhou Island, picturesque island scenery" - Weizhou Island,

"Stunning Weizhou Island, picturesque island scenery" I visited Weizhou Island, and the sights and feelings are etched in my heart. When I first set foot on the island, the sea breeze brushed my face, fresh and pleasant. Looking into the distance, the sea was boundless, and the waves rolled like thousands of horses galloping. "The spring river tide is level with the sea, and the bright moon rises with the tide," this scene is just like the poem. Walking on the beach, the fine sand was like silk, soft and comfortable underfoot. The waves crashed against the shore, splashing white foam like snow. Shells were scattered, colorful, like stars falling to the ground. The trees on the island were lush, with branches and leaves intertwined, blocking out the sun. The birds chirped, melodious and pleasant, as if telling the wonders of nature. "The cicadas chirp, the forest is quieter, the birds sing, the mountains are more secluded," in this environment, the heart is naturally calm. At the volcano crater, the rocks were jagged and varied in shape. Some were like giant pythons coiled, others like eagles spreading their wings. The traces of time were clearly visible, making one marvel at the wonders of creation. At dusk, the afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on the sea, the waves shimmering like golden scales. The evening glow on the horizon was gorgeous, red, orange, yellow, and green, reflecting each other. "A remnant of the sun spreads on the water, half the river is blue, half the river is red," this scene is breathtaking. Staying overnight on the island, the sea breeze gently brushed, the sound of waves in my ears, accompanying me to sleep. This journey, the beauty of Weizhou, deeply touched my heart. May the years be peaceful, and I will return one day to enjoy this scenery again.

Volcano Crater

The Beihai Volcano Crater Park is located on Weizhou Island in Beihai, which is the largest volcanic island in China. The lava erupted by the volcano, after ten thousand years of wind and rain, still leaves those astonishing traces of the years. The vibrant and colorful living corals are a major feature of Weizhou Island; on the beach, there are many weathered white coral fragments and shells gathered together to form a long scenic line. It is said that when the sea is calm, you don't need to dive to see living corals in shallow waters.

Off-season Beihai is back, highly recommended!

Off-season Beihai is back, highly recommended!

Lunar New Year came early this year, leaving a longer post-holiday period. After some research, I decided on Guangxi, visiting Nanning, Beihai, and Chongzuo. Guilin was on the itinerary, but a cold snap made it less appealing, so I skipped it. Overall, the trip was great, and the off-season had its perks. Here's a detailed account of my second stop, Beihai. The high-speed train from Nanning to Beihai is super convenient, just over an hour. Beihai felt noticeably warmer, several degrees higher than Nanning. From the Beihai train station, a rideshare to my hotel was incredibly cheap, only around CNY 10. I booked an oceanfront room with a balcony at Qiaogang Beach for under CNY 300 a night, including breakfast—what a steal! Now, why not stay near Silver Beach? Hotels and guesthouses there are set back from the beach itself. Silver Beach Park, while free, is fenced with limited access points. If your accommodation isn't close to an entrance, getting to the beach can be a hassle. Qiaogang Beach has a few hotels right on the sand, offering oceanfront rooms. Mine was one of them, with a balcony directly facing the sea—the cover photo was taken right from there. Besides the beachfront rooms, Qiaogang Beach's biggest advantage is its tranquility—it's blissfully uncrowded! The sand is fine and soft, perfect for beachcombing. The amenities are good too, with plenty of affordable restaurants near the beach entrance. A CNY 94 seafood meal for two included a huge plate of salt and pepper mantis shrimp, steamed scallops with vermicelli, cuttlefish cakes, stir-fried clams, greens, and a pitcher of passion fruit juice. It was amazing, exceeding all expectations. Off-season Weizhou Island was also fantastic. My guesthouse room near the Xijiao Pier was spacious, with a nice view and a reasonable price of under CNY 300 per night. I rented an e-bike and toured the island, visiting Crocodile Mountain, Dishuidanping, the Catholic Church, Shell Beach, and Colorful Beach—every spot was worth exploring. The seafood dinners for two on Nanwan Commercial Street were excellent. If you know your seafood, you can buy it fresh at the market and have a restaurant cook it for you—convenient and budget-friendly. Of course, the off-season has its downsides. The weather wasn't ideal; it was overcast almost every day in Beihai. The coastal scenery loses some of its magic without sunshine.

High service, high cost performance, first-line sea view homestay!!

High service, high cost performance, first-line sea view homestay!!

I want to say! The homestay I booked for this trip to Weizhou Island is really right. The homestay is by the sea, a few tens of meters away from the sea. Located in the bustling Nanwan Street, you can reach nearby coffee shops, bars, seafood markets, etc. within about 10 minutes on foot. The location is super superior. There are only 5 guest rooms. The decoration is a simple style, very comfortable, each room can see the sea, the space is spacious and bright. The facilities are very complete, each one has: projector, sound, bathtub, mini fridge, full-length mirror, leisure chair.. 4th floor sea view terrace suite, you can enjoy the private soaking pool, it is very comfortable to drink afternoon tea while watching the sea. The 1.8 large bed and 4-meter-wide tatami in the room are very friendly to families with children. Highlights Eating and drinking are very convenient. No matter how you take pictures, they are very out of the picture, the scenery is super great. There is a beach a few minutes walk from the homestay that provides rental electric cars. It's only a 10-minute ride from Dripping Danping, Shiluokou Beach. If you don't know what to play on Weizhou Island, the homestay can also help plan the itinerary. Food There are many gourmet restaurants around, and the restaurants on Nanwan Street that want seafood processing can all be processed. From the homestay, you can reach the Nanwan Seafood Market in 3 minutes on foot. There are a lot of seafood, and the price is very affordable. You can compare the goods with three homes before buying.

Check out Weizhou Island, the filming location of "The Starry Night, The Starry Sea"!

🌈Highlights: ☀Crocodile Mountain Park: A must-see attraction on Weizhou Island. We recommend visiting in the late afternoon to avoid the heat. Here, you can see the spectacular scenery left behind by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago. ☀Nanwan Street: A bustling commercial street on Weizhou Island. The street has everything you need, and there are many small bars along the road where you can eat and shop. ☀Shiluokou Beach: You can try many sea activities here. You can also watch the sunset and pick up shells on the beach. This is a unique romantic experience by the sea, and it's easy to take great photos. ☀Dishui Danping: A magical volcanic rock that lives up to its name. The rock is a masterpiece of nature, with water droplets constantly seeping out from between the rock layers. 🎫Tickets: Ferry tickets do not include admission tickets. You need to pay CNY 98 per person for admission when you leave Weizhou Island Wharf. Minors aged 6–18, seniors aged 60–65, and college students aged 24 can pay CNY 49 per person. 🚗Transportation: Take a ferry from Beihai International Passenger Port to Weizhou Island Wharf. Round-trip ferry tickets cost CNY 300 per person. Be sure to buy your return ticket in advance, especially during peak season. Prices vary between peak and off-peak seasons. 💗Other tips: 1. If you are traveling with 3–4 people, you can rent an electric scooter. Compare prices from different stores to avoid being overcharged. 2. Many attractions have local islanders who charge parking fees. You can check the map to find a free parking spot. Don't rely on roadside signs. 3. We don't recommend eating seafood on Weizhou Island. It's more expensive and not as good as the seafood in Beihai City.

Great for couples.

Great for couples.

✅️The hotel is pretty good, close to Shiluokou, Dishi Danping, and Crocodile Mountain, and the hotel also has electric car rentals, which is quite convenient🚗. ✅️The most important thing is that the front desk lady is very nice and kindly reminds us of many things✔️. ✅️It's just that the typhoon is coming, otherwise I want to play for a few more days. ☺️ ✅️The hotel also has a shuttle service and breakfast, which is pretty good👍. ✅️If I go to Weizhou Island next time, I will stay at her house again☺️❗️❗️

Weizhou Island, a leisurely and comfortable island landscape painting

Weizhou Island, a leisurely and comfortable island landscape painting

After going to Weizhou Island, I really felt what is called the sea and sky are of one color, a casual shot, all give the feeling of a screensaver masterpiece. Weizhou Island is the largest island in Guangxi and the youngest volcanic island in China. Here you can experience diving, fishing, and viewing the unique volcanic landscape. Things that must be done on the island: watch the sunrise and sunset, eat seafood, catch the sea. The sunrise should go to the colorful beach or shell beach, and the sunset should go to the snail mouth beach or dripping water Danping to see. Catching the sea is a very interesting project. At about 10 o'clock in the evening, the sea water recedes, leaving many small fish, shrimps and crabs on the beach. You can take a shovel and a bucket to the beach to find these small animals. Just looking at the beach and the sea, after going to Weizhou Island, other beaches and seas have become makeshift. If you want to experience the blue sky, the sea and the beach, you won't go wrong with Weizhou Island. With the person you like, watch the sunrise and sunset together, walk on the beach, it is extremely romantic.
