Revisiting Yuantouzhu.

Revisiting Yuantouzhu.

Yuantouzhu, a famous Taihu Lake tourist scenic spot in Wuxi, is a peninsula lying on the northwest bank of Taihu Lake. It is named after a huge rock protruding into the lake, which looks like a divine turtle raising its head. The main attractions include Cherry Valley, Yuantouzhu Park, and Taihu Xian Island. I have been to Yuantouzhu for sightseeing and leisure many times before. Once, there were crowds in Cherry Valley when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Now it is September, and there are not many tourists, which is a good time for a walk. In the past, I drove directly to the lake to take a boat to Taihu Xian Island (then called Sanshan Island) or Taihu Jiajuechu. Now, I can only drive to the gate, and I need to take a battery car to the main scenic spot.

JinKui Park, Wuxi: A free hidden gem with 5,000 cherry blossom trees!

🌸 Cherry Blossom Overload in Jiangnan|JinKui Park, Wuxi: A free hidden gem with 5,000 cherry blossom trees! 📅 Best time to see cherry blossoms: Mid-March to early April (avoid the crowds at Yuantouzhu Island! A hidden gem for stunning photos) 📍 Location: Opposite the Municipal Government, Guanshan Road, Binhu District, Wuxi City (Direct access via Metro Line 1!) ✨ "Ten miles of spring breeze is not as good as meeting you under the cherry blossom trees." When the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms dye the entire hillside, Pink and white clouds cascade down from the "Manzhen Cherry Blossom Forest." This free park, cherished by locals, Is interpreting the ultimate romance of spring in Jiangnan with a shower of cherry blossoms. 🏞️ Must-see spots for those with a girlish heart 1️⃣ Manzhen Cherry Blossom Forest: 5,000 cherry blossom trees cover the sky and the earth. Take a photo from the hillside and be transported to the world of *5 Centimeters Per Second*. 2️⃣ Cherry Blossom Avenue: An 800-meter pink tunnel, perfect for taking ancient-style photos in Hanfu with an oil-paper umbrella. 3️⃣ Begonia Forest by Shangxian Lake: When the cherry blossoms fade, the begonias take over, blooming into rosy clouds. 4️⃣ Ginkgo Avenue Autumn Colors: In November, it transforms into a world of highly saturated oil paintings (300 maple trees + golden ginkgo trees). 5️⃣ Mountaintop Observation Deck: A God's-eye view overlooking the skyline of Taihu New City, framed by the sea of cherry blossoms. 📸 Tips for taking stunning photos ▫️Go before 7am! Capture the cherry blossom carpet without anyone around (weekend crowds warning). ▫️Wear a light pink/sky blue dress! Create a soft focus filter with the cherry blossoms. ▫️Bring a reflector + telephoto lens to compress the background into a pink curtain. ▫️Overhead shooting locations: hillside steps, observation deck railings (avoid clutter on the ground). 🚇 Traffic guide to avoid congestion ▶️ Take Metro Line 1 to "Civic Center Station", Exit 2, and walk for 5 minutes. ▶️ Drive and navigate to "JinKui Park Parking Lot" (370 parking spaces, arrive before 9am on weekends!). ▶️ Take Bus No. 133 directly to the park entrance, passing through Wuxi Cherry Blossom Avenue along the way. ⚠️ Local's tips ▪️ Avoid afternoons on weekends! The crowds are comparable to the Spring Festival travel rush (Wednesday and Thursday offer the best experience). ▪️ Bring a folding stool! Low-angle shots easily avoid crowds. ▪️ There are no shops in the park! Bring your own cherry blossom soda + Japanese sweets as photo props. ▪️ Pet-friendly! Remember to keep your pet on a leash to avoid disturbing the artists sketching. 🍃 Hidden gems PLUS ✔️ Combine with the adjacent "Shangxian River Wetland" + "Xuntang Ancient Town" for a golden triangle day trip. ✔️ Take a lantern walk in the evening. The cherry blossoms under the warm yellow streetlights have a cinematic feel. ✔️ Observe students in JK uniforms and learn their secrets for taking campus photos. 💌 Spring whispers When the wind blows off the first cherry blossom petal, I suddenly understand the artistic conception of "flower snow" described by the ancients. Sitting on a bench, eating cherry blossom ice cream, Watching an old man push his wife in a wheelchair slowly through the flower rain, I realize that the most extreme romance Never requires a ticket.
